🚨🎙️ Junior Alonso on his heated exchange with Lionel Messi after Messi’s brace. Reporter: We saw you exchanging words with Lionel Messi after his second goal. What exactly happened between you two? Junior Alonso: “Honestly, it was nothing serious. I have a lot of respect for Messi, but I think there was a little misunderstanding between us. “The last time we played against each other, I cleared his shot off the line and celebrated right in front of him. I’m a Ronaldo fan, so I enjoyed that moment, and I think Messi didn’t appreciate it very much. (laughs) “Before today’s game, I walked up to him and said something like, ‘Well, we meet again today.’ He just smiled and nodded. I thought everything was fine, but I didn’t realize he still remembered what happened. “Then the game started, and this man scored twice! After his second goal, he came back toward me and made the exact gesture I made when I celebrated against him. He showed me I’m still spinning I couldn’t believe it. He actually remembered everything! “That’s when I understood why people always say you should never give Messi a reason to prove a point. He doesn’t need to argue with you, raise his voice, or make a big speech. He will simply wait for the right moment and answer you on the pitch. “The crazy thing is that he’s 39, and he’s still doing this to defenders. Today, he reminded me that you can be a Ronaldo fan and still recognize greatness when you see it. “Sometimes, you don’t need to keep arguing with someone to prove you’re the GOAT. You let your football do the talking, and suddenly, the person who challenged you is the one questioning his own decisions. “After what happened today, I understand why people call him the greatest of all time. Messi didn’t just score two goals. He made sure I remembered them, and honestly, I’ll never forget this game.”

Sunday would be a great time for Diego Gomez to score from the half way line
