To His Excellency
Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan
Your Excellency,
I wish to convey to you personally, and to the people of the Republic of Uzbekistan, my profound respect. I would also like to express my sincere regret regarding the situation that has arisen in connection with FIDE and the organization of chess events in Samarkand.
It is deeply regrettable that the internal organizational difficulties of an international sports federation could cast a shadow over a country that has made every effort to welcome the international chess community with the highest standards of hospitality, professionalism, and dignity.
Having known Uzbekistan for many years, I wish to state unequivocally that these difficulties are not the responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Under your leadership, Uzbekistan has become one of the region’s leading nations - a country distinguished by its extraordinary historical and cultural heritage, dynamic development, and steadily growing international standing.
For centuries, Samarkand has served as a meeting place for peoples, cultures, and civilizations. Today, it continues this remarkable tradition by welcoming representatives of the international community from across the world.
It would therefore be entirely unjust for any mistakes or internal organizational shortcomings on the part of FIDE to be used to call into question Uzbekistan’s reputation as the host country.
Responsibility for FIDE’s decisions and organizational failures must not be transferred to the Republic of Uzbekistan. The name of Uzbekistan must not be invoked as justification for errors committed by others, nor should anything be permitted to undermine the dignity and reputation of the country and its people.
As a candidate for the presidency of FIDE, I consider it my duty to state this position publicly and unambiguously.
Uzbekistan deserves the gratitude of the international chess community, not criticism for circumstances beyond its responsibility.
Uzbekistan deserves recognition and respect, not attempts to associate the country with the failures of an international sports organization.
I will do everything within my power to ensure that this position is clearly understood throughout the international chess community.
The reputation of a great nation must never be made hostage to the internal problems of any international sports organization.
Please accept, Your Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.
Wadim Rosenstein
Candidate for President of FIDE
Good luck, Wadim! Hope to see more bughouse!
Dear FIDE Member Federations,
Throughout this campaign, Gordon Tang and I have listened carefully to federations from every continent. The message has been clear: federations need more resources, better infrastructure and direct, practical support.
That is why Gordon and I have jointly decided to present a clear €10 million investment programme built on three pillars:
• €4.5 million distributed directly to national federations across every continent to cover their most pressing needs.
• €3.5 million invested specificaly in federation infrastructure, including digitalisation, IT systems, federation services and institutional modernisation.
• €2 million dedicated to global development programmes supporting youth, women’s chess, education, inclusive chess, social impact.
This is a decision we made together because we share the same conviction: FIDE must serve its members and give every federation the tools to develop chess in their own country.
The allocation of these resources will be governed by clear, transparent and objective criteria, avoiding bureaucracy. Federations must know what support is available, how decisions are made and how the funds are used.
Our principle is simple:
More resources and direct support to empower federations.
FIDE belongs to its national federations.
Together with Gordon Tang, I am committed to putting federations first - not only in words, but through measurable action.
Together, we can build a stronger, more modern and more inclusive FIDE.

How to Easily Achieve 55k+ in @KingsGambitGame
I stopped playing the game around the release of Artifacts. During those months, I was focused on Gambit in @AnichessGame and didn't really want to keep adding more information to learn.
Recently, I decided to give King's Gambit another try. Even though I had been Rank 1 for several months, my inactivity dropped me to Rank 4, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to catch up.
Getting back into the game was rough at first. I was rusty, and collecting Artifacts felt like a grind since I had to claim rewards one by one. I honestly wish there was a "Claim All" button.
After finally collecting and upgrading my Artifacts, I jumped back into King's Gambit and... boom. Within about an hour, I scored 57k points.
Here are some of the strategies I use:
1. Delay captures at the start
Play a few random moves without capturing pieces. This helps set up the board and prepare for Frenzy Mode.
2. Prioritize reaching Frenzy Mode
Frenzy Mode is where the real points come from. If you see a sequence where you can capture around 7 pieces in a row, go for it.
3. Protect your streak at all costs
Once you're in Frenzy Mode, don't break the streak. Every capture matters.
If you accidentally break the chain, that's the best time to collect leftover shields, treasures, and other pickups before setting up another streak.
4. Always grab Queen power-ups
Whenever a Queen power-up appears, take it immediately.
I usually stay near a corner and prioritize Knight captures whenever possible. It reduces the amount of calculation needed and helps maintain momentum.
5. Repeat the cycle
Set up the board, enter Frenzy Mode, maintain the streak, collect leftovers when necessary, and repeat.
If you do this consistently, you'll probably beat my high score sooner rather than later.
Even though I'm a very competitive player, I won't be trying to reclaim the Rank 1 spot.
King's Gambit has been my favorite game whenever I wanted a distraction. It's also been the game I recommended most often to chess clubs and friends who wanted a fun way to enjoy chess beyond traditional play.
That said, I was disappointed to learn that information regarding the Magnus Cup qualifiers was only available through the app and not through the browser version. As someone who has supported and promoted the game for a long time, I felt left out by that decision.
Thank you to @jesusislord , @0xRovin , @NFTom_ETH , and everyone who helped create this wonderful game. I've made great memories here.
For now, I'll be taking a break from King's Gambit.
Good luck to everyone chasing the leaderboard. ❤️

Why are people sleeping on @AnichessGame Void Vanguard NFTs?
Floor is sitting at 0.975 ETH (~$1,950–2,000)
But each Void Vanguard comes loaded with 100,000 $CHECK locked until Feb 1, 2027.
At current $CHECK price (~$0.056), that’s $5,600+ worth of tokens per NFT.
That’s almost 3x the floor price already.

$CHECK Update:
We are pushing back investor unlocks to August 13, 2026. 📢
Why? We have major ecosystem shifts and product milestones in motion for Q3. We want our tokenomics to launch into strength, not ahead of it.
Tightening the vest to 15 months means our final unlock date remains Nov 13, 2027. ♟️✨
