As I predicted Bulldogs will likely play against Port in Gather Round as a marquee grudge match, thus for the first time since 2023 - the debut of GR - the Bulldogs won't play their opponent a second time as an away game. Last three years (Cats, Lions, Hawks) all top teams too.

Why are the BulldogsW seeing such a huge glow up this year? Partly because the following are all having break out seasons. Elaine Grigg (20) Emma McDonald (20) Jas Smith (22) Cleo Buttifant (21) Jess Fitzgerald (24) Kaylee Kimber (23) Rylie Wilcox (21) Huge future for the Pups

Legitimate scalps of @BulldogsW 2025 (12th) St Kilda (A) 2026 (currently 4th) Gold Coast (A) Sydney (H) Fremantle (A) Carlton (A) Incredible growth and development of the group considering only one new recruit (Cann) and two draft debutants (Brothwell and Wain), only lost KLWT.

An allegedly professional media organisation worth millions is engaging in gaslighting. What a world we're living in!

I'm sure there will be nothing but rational and well intentioned reactions to this lovely article.

I've calmed down a bit since then. Not sure why though...

Geelong are suddenly in the box seat for Butters BASED ON FUCKING NOTHING!! NOTHING TO SUPPORT THIS, IT'S BASED ON FANTASY! BASED ON ONE GAME AGAINST NORTH MELBOURNE THAT THE CATS SHOULD HAVE LOST! DOES HE WANT TO GO TO GEELONG BECAUSE THE LEAGUE AND THE UMPIRES KISS THEIR DICKS?

Cannot believe I'm actually acknowledging Tom Morris is making sense and speaking out against AFL hypocrisy.

So in this scenario Bulldogs give up even more than the last trade proposed which was already overs, they can't match their 2026 NGA prospect, they have to pay Todd Marshall's salary for three years, and Port don't get a 2027 first for their own bid match. Simply awful stuff.
AFL Trade Radio
@traderadioOct 1
Bulldogs get their man but have to pay to do so. 🐶 Port get a decent haul for the superstar and get off Marshall's deal until the end of 2029. ⚡ St Kilda lose Mattaes, but open up some cap room and take back a first-rounder, albeit one that won't be top-end. 😇 Who wins? #AFLTrade | #danielsdonuts

Do not take anything the following people say in any way seriously. They are either incompetent, morally dubious, or have a vendetta. Kane Cornes Damien Barrett Mitch Cleary Tom Morris Sam Edmund Jon Ralph Gerard Whateley Jay Clark Feel free to add anyone I've missed.

So to recap, in this scenario compared to previous ones... - Port receive less - Bulldogs give up more - two teams that happen to have huge fanbase are completely unnecessarily involved presumably to help them both? How does anyone in the media get a job let alone get paid?
