I love how I'm regularly reminded to log my time in the jira tickets, because management might look at the burn down charts and think that there is no progress. And I thought the idea of agile was to keep management off our backs to get some work done. How foolish I was..

Yay, why would anybody want unstructured Exploratory Testing? Isn't that like Adhoc Testing?!

Also agree on that. Often people are VERY surprised as they see those numbers for the first time. I experienced that recently when I created a load model for a load and performance test based on prod usage. "THIS is what the users are actually doing..?!"

So when I say: an hourly outage costs X thousand dollars, so we better ensure monitoring works. It is indeed a number - but people make a decision based on their feeling when hearing that number..?

Good point regarding the 'who'. I have to admit, I consider the end users only when thinking about risks threatening usability or accessibility. But obviously there are more..

In the end it's an educated guess. That's why it's so important to bring multiple stakeholders to the table when discussing risks. To get a better impression about the likelihood and the impact. Unfortunately - in my personal experience - that rarely happens.
I have the same impression. I couldn't care less if I achieved x% state transition coverage or y% equivalence class coverage. But it's important that I e.g. covered a risk of unexpected transitions or incoming messages with very long strings.

Coconut milk for cooking and some yoghurt and cheese alternatives made of coconut. But it's mostly oat drink and soya for us (to avoid dairy products). No dairy AND no soya is indeed tricky..

Wow das ist echt mal armselig.
Wobei ich mich echt frage wer das genau verbockt. Die Fluggesellschaft? Der Flughafenbetreiber? Individuelles Versagen?
I guess it's like when royal people are announced and the list of titles gets longer.
The Guru of Exploration, The Breaker of Dependencies, The Pairer of Engineers, The Annoyer of (the awesome) Robot Framework 😇

My favorite one - taken with a grain of salt - is the third law of consulting..
"Never forget they're paying you by the hour, not by the solution."
Oh, and the only kind of 'testing' was:
"Let's make sure it's just implemented exactly as written in the requirements."
