We didn’t defraud the government to build our schools or churches, and Catholic immigrants did not rely on false credentials and degrees to build their lives here. We fought and died for this country in droves to assimilate.

This is as concise and comprehensive a summing up of the nationalist position as I’ve ever seen.
But I think this is true: e.g. Toronto, New York, Rio, London, Paris. If you're at the apex of certain social groups / cliques, it's fantastic.
What I would appeal to - or the broader claim I'm making here - is that they have a duty to their fellow citizens not to let this happen. You shouldn't put harms on a fellow citizen that you won't let happen to yourself or your own family.
This I believe is the core of nationhood: it's a group of people who have a duty to mutually look out for each other.
There was an interview this morning I saw with some buffoonish British guy called Jacob Rees-Mogg saying (more or less) that some of you are going to have to go off and die for your country. But who owes Rees-Mogg (or e.g. Jason Kenney) anything? They don't show any corresponding duty or loyalty to us - why do we owe something to them?
Likewise, what duty do we have to the 100m Canadians crowd? They feel nothing toward us.

Now imagine having to deal with them on your new build estates whilst not being the actual Police.
A Sudanese migrant became confrontational and got himself arrested.
He was playing extremely loud music when officers calmly approached him and asked him to turn it off and leave the area.
He continued to swear and make inappropriate remarks towards female officers.
Why does it take this many police officers this long to detain him?
Even a member of the public had to step in and help!
