🔔 New research article by Benjamin Chapas is available here: management-aims.com/index.ph…
🔎 In this article, the author critiques the dominant approach to employee participation as superficial and ineffective.
Drawing on Joëlle Zask’s theory of contributive democracy, he proposes a model with three dimensions: taking part (voluntary association), contributing (active involvement), and benefiting (sharing in outcomes).
🔔 New essay by Hervé Laroche is available here: management-aims.com/index.ph…
🔎 Articles published in peer-reviewed journals are highly standardized texts.
The typical structure that articles are expected to follow and the typical story they are supposed to recount are presented by editors as mere conventions that bear no consequences. This is not true: these conventions generate significant costs and burdens.
🔔 New research article by Thomas Simon, Marion Cina and @Xavier_Philippe is available: doi.org/10.37725/mgmt.2024.8…
🔎 It aims to understand the functioning of organizational absurdity by drawing a parallel between today's young graduates and the young romantics of the 19th century
Ultimately, it seeks to establish a dialogue between two eras: extracts from interviews conducted with 35 young French graduates resonate with the texts of Balzac, Musset, and Chateaubriand.
🔔 New research article by Clotilde Coron is available here: doi.org/10.37725/mgmt.2024.8…
🔎 The concept of a "feminine managerial behavior" is both widespread and controversial.
It reveals that, on average, perceived managerial support is higher when supervisors are women. However, if we control for the moderating role of national gender ideology, this difference disappears.
