If I've had a brilliant this weekend at Al's wedding, I can only imagine how it was for the bride and groom! Congratulations, and enjoy the honeymoon!

Glad everyone at Al's stag do enjoyed themselves last weekend! Good thing we all had Sunday to let ourselves catch up and get some rest.

So, after a long and warm summer, my placement is finally over. Thank you to everyone who made me feel welcome in Didcot, and to everyone in Sheffield: I'll see you all shortly!

Also, there is no defeat quite the same as when you prepare yourself to order dinner in French, inflection or no inflection, and then the waitress says 'Ready?' and you give up immediately.

Brussels holiday going well so far! The view from the Atomium is great - I never knew you could go inside those spheres!

Day trip to Oxford! Somehow I am successfully navigating around more or less by accident.

Lying on the sofa, watching Netflix Bake Off and stroking a cat. I am a very happy boy right now.

Finally tried out a pierogi recipe I've been meaning to do. Results: more successful than not.

First week in a real job has gone... actually very well. Nice to get to grips with some real projects.

Moved in to my house for while I'll be on placement! Going to spend a bit of time getting to know the area first.
