ग्रेटर नोएडा में रबुपुरा के नंगला श्रीगोपाल गांव से शनिवार सुबह एक ऐसी सनसनीखेज घटना सामने आई जिसने पूरे इलाके को झकझोर कर रख दिया। रात को मेला देखकर हंसी-खुशी लौटा परिवार फिर कभी नहीं उठेगा ये किसी ने नहीं सोचा था।
महेश उसकी पत्नी और तीनों बच्चे जो रात में नूडल्स खाकर और चाय पीकर सोए वो फिर सुबह नहीं उठे। हालांकि अब इस मामले में कई ऐसे तथ्य सामने आ रहे हैं जो इस केस में नया मोड़ लाए हैं। जैसे- अगर ये आत्महत्या का मामला है तो महेश के परिवार में पहली बार नहीं होगा जब किसी ने आत्महत्या की हो। यह पूरा मामला समझने के लिए आपको परिवार के इतिहास के बारे में भी जानना होगा।
महेश के पिता किशन लाल दिल्ली के नरेला के खेड़ा कलां गांव के रहने वाले थे। उन्होंने 2000 से 2005 के बीच में अपनी ससुराल (चंद्रवती का मायका) नगला पदम में 10 बीघा जमीन खरीदी।
2009 में परिवार को यमुना प्राधिकरण से करीब 1.25 करोड़ मुआवजा मिला। महेश के माता-पिता ने मुआवजा तीनों बेटियों को बांट दिया। सात प्रतिशत प्लॉट जो प्राधिकरण से मिला था वह भी बेटियों को दे दिया था। माता-पिता ने दोनों लड़कों को कुछ नहीं दिया।
किशन लाल की मृत्यु 2023 में हुई थी। इसके बाद महेश की मां चंद्रवती ने दिल्ली का पुश्तैनी मकान भी दो बेटियों के नाम कर दिया।
वह यहीं नहीं रुकीं, उन्होंने एक बेटी को 18 अगस्त 2025 को नगला पदम में बने 167 मीटर का मकान जिसमें बेटा महेश, पत्नी और तीन बच्चे रहते थे, उसे बेच दिया था।
महेश के भाई राहुल ने माता-पिता द्वारा सारी संपत्ति बहनों को दिए जाने का विरोध किया और अवसाद में चला गया। फिर 2019 में दिल्ली-हावड़ा रूट पर चोला स्टेशन पर ट्रेन के आगे कूदकर आत्महत्या कर ली थी।

A husband is trying to fight his case, but his wife’s parents are advocates practising in the same town.
Local advocates allegedly refuse to take his brief, and even another advocate reportedly backs out under pressure from local lawyers.
When a man struggles to find legal representation because of such local pressure, how is he supposed to fight for justice?
Justice cannot survive where the local Bar becomes a pressure group and a husband is made to suffer for simply fighting his legal battle.
The law is supposed to protect every citizen equally, not leave a husband helpless against local influence, intimidation and professional pressure.
This is not how the justice system should work in a democracy.

1. If the interim is decided after 2 years, it means ₹12 lakhs as arrears.
2. Recovery suit is now filed against the husband, where if he doesn't pay, his salary, immovable, or movable properties of a husband can be attached.
3. Now, 12 lakhs arrears and every month 50k maintenance, along with lawyers fee, travelling expenses, and he needs to take care of his own ageing parents.
4. The situation of a husband, if he looses jobs or loss in business is immaterial to court.
5. Now, the lawyer will ask him to go to higher court with the fees starts from 1 lakhs to several lakhs. Lawyer will ask half of the fees up-front.
6. There is no way out here. If you are thinking of leaving the job, you are again a fool because this maintenance won't be stopped. You will be in deep financial trouble along with mental pressure of all the cases.
7. He must be facing 498A as well where all of his family members are accused. Imagine of facing all fake allegations, damaging your family reputation and now giving her free money.
8. Now, the husband is funding the battle against him. His own hard-earned money will be used against him.
The situation of Indian husband facing court cases is the worst in the world. Most of the men commit suicides as they cannot face the lone battle against mighty, corrupt and powerful system.

The Supreme Court itself transfers 10–20 petitions a day.
Even when video conferencing is available and courts say that parties need not be physically present in civil cases, “convenience of the party” is still used in the name of the weaker section.
