Few things: 1- The squad is unbalanced, but trying to portray it in a way that sacking Slot wasn't needed is ludicrous. He had to go for the simple reason that he failed to even have the players conditioned properly (let alone the results) 2- The signings that we made are fine. The club spent years building up financially and pull wise to attract players like Isak, Barcola etc The problem is not addressing other areas. We had the money, but Hughes and co didn't think they were priorities (stupidity) 3- He is right that the players need a kick up the backside because whilst Slot was the main culprit, the players held part of the blame as they became too lax. 4- This idea that it isn't "Liverpool" to sign top players that cost a lot is nonsense. Even under Klopp, we signed big money players like Van Dijk, Alisson etc who were record signings for their position at the time we signed them. These are the signings that get you over the line. Big clubs sign big players. Liverpool aren't Brighton.
