Weβve had an amazing 2,073 guest drivers of all ages take the controls of the world record model railway! ππ«
Thank you to everyone who joined in you made this week truly special!
We are having an astonishing time at the Vale of Rheidol railway - last day tomorrow. Steam trains to left of me, mainline trains to the right of me and Iβm stuck in the middle with a 200ft model railway ! π Got this shot today of the TfW 158 on the layout - the same as outside
A true piece of railway history joined us recently, the original Thomas, Annie & Clarabel, built by Rev. Wilbert Awdry himself! β¨
Hand-built by Awdry in 1982, this MK3 Thomas (based on a Hornby LBSCR E2) is the definitive version of the worldβs most famous tank engine. π
Annie and Clarabel complete the set. Annie was built in 1927 and Clarabel in 1948! ππ§‘
All three are now preserved at the Talyllyn Railway Museum, as part of the re-creation of Rev. Awdryβs study at Wharf Station.
π¨ Come see our railway in action this Halloween β and yes, YOU can drive the world record model railway yourself! π
