Okay, I need some input from people on an upcoming project idea. I am trying to decide what works better for the "terminus module" for my train. Do I just make the end with one switch to allow me to shove cars? Or do I make it with two switches and the blue area holds the engine?

Welcome back to the ConsumerRights.Wiki Hall of Shame. This week, we are shaming John Deere and the high-stakes battle over software ownership and the Right to Repair.
You buy the tractor, but they keep the keys. While a historic July 2026 FTC settlement forces John Deere to share repair software, DMCA loopholes mean farmers still own the iron, not the code.

🎞 At our museum, some moments live forever.
Aboard our trains, the past comes alive. You hear the same sounds, feel the same movement, and watch the same scenery as people did, 114-years ago — all on the same trains they rode.
History isn't lost here. It simply moves on rails.

Hurray for Big 19! A former Market St cable car, then a Sac-Clay car until 1942. If you can, get put to see her today, as well as the celebration down at Market Plaza.
#muniheritageweekend2026 update. Please read.
Keeping @SFMTA_Muni running is the first priority. The California line is short cars so as a result Big 19 will be out there today. @sfmsr #sanfrancisco #cabkecars

Parents—don’t fear the trades. Your kid can build a great life with their hands and their head. The trades aren’t a backup plan—they’re a damn smart one. 💪

An absolute must watch for all our #SouthAfrican brothers and sisters to be warned of the #Four12 #apostolicnetwork they claim that you must have #apostles and #prophets for the church to be healthy. As in the “Five-Fold ministry” which traces only historically to late modernity with the New Order of the Latter Rain. Rick Becker Famine in the land response to Four12 response

CNC tube bending is awesome, but I have to be honest: it has been our slowest-growing service to-date. A little over a year in, and we are doing just $20k / month. Basically zero compared to our top line, and that's after spending more than $1 million on in-house software and equipment to get it going. Meanwhile, it absolutely eats up warehouse space.
Reasons:
- Extremely niche, few people design with it
- Extremely wide needs for tube profile and tooling support - hard to meet every need
- Unique design and tolerance challenges
- High equipment costs, changeover costs, and high square footage makes getting feature diversity extremely expensive and difficult
But we are committed. Long-term, it'll be a win. It's such a cool, efficient way to build things, but people don't, because it has always been almost impossible to buy.

Anyone in the Seattle area in need of a resin printer? I have a few I need to part with, free to good home.
Replying to @OSHBuilt @__el__toro__
But however China does it, this is not a space I want to compete in.

For today's “Pogue’s Posts" column, I tested the new AI Siri. HARD. It missed a few out of my 125 tasks—but some of its triumphs were jaw-dropping. If you can get into the habit of using Siri, you'll do a lot less opening apps, fumbling around, and wasting time.

My Samsung Galaxy S8 Active has a ded screen after ~8 years of use & abuse, and I am looking to get a new phone. I just want a "vanilla" phone that is reliable, has good battery life, and is not that expensive. I have narrowed it down to a Galaxy S24 FE or a Pixel 8A. Any input?
