Here’s a quick unfiltered dev update. I’ve decided to take advantage of Metahuman Crowds to bring audiences to life in Main Event...

The crowd system in Main Event will allow for dynamic reactions and states based on the mood of the crowd. If they’re bored, they’ll look around, chat and even go on their phone. Whereas a good show will have them out of their seats

What’s going to be cool is when we start bringing in custom signs, merch, and facial expressions on the audience

One cool thing about MHC is that there’s currently 1000+ in this arena, and the LODs allow you to get stunning details up close, whilst maintaining high performance at a distance…

The work that @dotGrix is putting in is absolutely incredible. Already this project is shaping up to be huge. The wrestling game world has its eyes on you, good luck bud! 🀘πŸ’ͺ
This took a lot of work. There is still a lot of tweaking to do and it's filled with placeholder animations as usual. But, this is a full IK rope feedback solver (cholesky factor based) with contact evaluation, this is all Chaos physics still. #indiedev #ue5

This was not something I expected to see this evening. It was so inspiring to see a UK wrestling dev get so much success, and damn this news just kicked me in the gut. Really feel for the UPW devs, supporters and community right now ❀️🫑
Years after raising $83,000 on Kickstarter and more on Patreon, Ultra Pro Wrestling still has no released game. My investigation has uncovered unpaid work, missing builds, extracted animation data, a suspended trademark application, and a CEO with a bigoted past. insider-gaming.com/problems-…

Now is the time to put out games indie devs... we all see that companies like Sony and Microsoft and Nintendo are screwing up royally. Now is the time to make your move. They are losing the trust and loyalty of their customers. Make it count. @clemmygames @indiefighting

So I've been experimenting with a new feature, and as a part of that, we have camera cuts. πŸ€” VERY WIP but it's shaping up nicely.

Hey everyone, bit of an announcement! Firstly, I want to apologise about the massive radio silence since playtests. To be honest, it’s been a mix of a few components involved. To getting a dream job, and an internal private playtest period there’s not been MUCH to report...

What this means is that I might go quiet for a while, but I have a solid roadmap ahead of me, with a unique experience unlike anything else on the market. I WILL be back soon, with something that will bring so much more to Main Event than you’ve seen so far. πŸ’–

I had put in so much work as far as 3D modelling, physics, lighting and more, for it only to be pulled at the last minute. This was so disheartening as far as my initial plan for the game, and I came away feeling it was a missed opportunity. Therefore, I aim to bring this back.

It’s with this in mind, I’ve decided go back to my initial vision with Main Event. One massive piece of feedback we received was that people were expecting to see more simulation in the game, and honestly so was I.

With that being said, I've had a lot of time to reflect on the state of things and the future of the game. With the advancements in AI providing more opportunities to create similar titles as of late, it’s become increasingly difficult to set myself aside from the competition
