Their thinking was compelling. So much so, @your__tempo became one of the top apps that users would point to when they requested new ideas from ours — and we took those ideas seriously. We have some experiments in the works, if you want to try them out, let us know.

Picture it: The year is 2012. We were working on a Mac app to launch towards the end of the year. (Later decided to focus on iOS first.) It was just before we rebranded with the sails. Here was our never before seen OS X app icon:

"Enter review mode" — that button at the bottom was dropped (along with its entire concept) in our first summer of betas. Considering bringing it back 🤔

In the original concept you would "Enter Review Mode" during which you'd see each message marked for later review. You could burn down this list in one focused session. Early testers in 2012 didn't like the review features being bundled this way, but...

...today we see more requests for ways to have discrete, focused sessions in the inbox, potentially even timed (like having today's "Batch" feature set to drop at a specific time).
