A couple of years ago I met the other 2Lauras (@DrLauraWolz & @CarterL_J) at an event, we all shared the same juggle travelling for work, established @STEMM_carers, begun a project to understand the issue sector-wide and now the report highlighting our findings is out ☺️☺️ 1/n

😊 thank you for saying this! We were struggling to find LRRK2 expression in paneth cells for a while, but then at a meeting I heard two other labs were also going through the same struggles. This encouraged me to publish this @NatImmunol to save others effort and resources
Science is self correcting. That's the way it should be. This finding is important for understanding the role of LRRK2 in IBD. Kudos to @MahimaSwamy for working hard to publish this. I think most of us would have put contradicting data in the drawer forever.
