The trial of Justin Bone, charged with murdering two men in Chinatown 4-1/2 years ago, remains a mess. Bone was supposed to be here this a.m., but sheriffs forgot him. Also, his lawyer says he’s fired him again — he’s fired at least 5. Judge said trial is going ahead regardless.

Pete Hegseth reportedly wanted Dwight Eisenhower's globe in his office, but did not want to wait for historians to move it and went rogue. Hegseth's staff then attempted to move it themselves and broke the historic globe.

This is the message from the US president a day after our (ostensibly allied) military suffers four dead and scores seriously injured. And not one word of condolence on any official US admin social media account. Savages. This is literally unforgivable. We must never forget.
Trump on Canada: "I promised them if they become the 51st state, I said, 'I will let you keep ice hockey and I will let you keep your O Canada national anthem.'"

Watching American accounts mock and laugh at the tragic event in Wainwright really makes it difficult to feel bad that some people booed their anthem at a hockey game.

The first soldiers to go behind enemy lines in Afghanistan were Canadian JTF 2. They laser lit targets for American ordinance. Ask any REAL U.S soldier what they think of JTF 2, not this asshole. They were followed by PPCLI special operations forces from Canada. You are a liar.
Hegseth on Afghanistan: I was a captain in Afghanistan, and we would go to the headquarters in Kabul, and there would be 50 flags at the headquarters. It was a beautiful thing to see 50 different countries contributing to the NATO alliance and the ISAF mission there. Except there were like maybe five that contributed. It was actually closer to one or two that, by the end, were actually involved in kinetic operations. In fact, the ISAF patch, we would joke that it meant "I Saw Americans Fighting."

I served two tours in Afghanistan alongside allied troops. We shared tents and flew missions in the same skies. Over 1,000 soldiers from partner nations died fighting with us there. When our SecDef diminishes their sacrifice, he damages trust with allies we may need again. Plus, he's the SecDef. He should be strengthening our alliances, not teaching ROTC cadets.

This procedural quagmire is one of the first things I thought of when Smith announced her move, and the UCP is going to need to figure out a workaround. Council is required by law to be impartial in a public hearing, but how can they be when the UCP has directed the outcome? #yeg
My latest for the @edmontonjournal Mayor says requirement to hold public hearing on bylaw he's been directed to vote against puts councillors in violation of Municipal Government Act #Edmonton #YegCC #Abpoli #Infill #Construction edmontonjournal.com/news/loc…

FAUCI WAS FUNDING BIOLABS!! THERE WERE LAB LEAKS!! Oh. Wait. No. It was actually RFK Jr. And it's in Russia And it's plague Oops
🚨BREAKING: RFK is funding an NIH grant with a Siberian plague lab collaborator. - A new White Coat Waste (WCW) investigation exposes $779,689 in new NIH funding under Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for an animal experimentation collaboration with a Russian lab that has conducted plague research with the Siberian facility at the center of a deadly lab leak controversy.  - Federal spending records and documents exclusively obtained by WCW show how, as recently as September 2026, RFK’s NIH renewed funding for University of Illinois animal experiments conducted in cooperation with Russia’s Institute of Cytology and Genetics (ICG) in Siberia. - Records show the state-run ICG has specifically collaborated on plague research with the now-infamous Irkutsk Anti-Plague Institute, where a lab worker’s recent death has sparked concerns of another lab leak and cover-up. - RFK’s NIH has twice renewed taxpayer funding for this collaboration with a Siberian animal lab — even after the Biden administration cut off research collaborations with Russia following a WCW investigation in 2022. - WCW was the very first to expose how Dr. Fauci funded the Wuhan lab in 2020, and the first to show how NIH continued to fund and cover-up dangerous virus experiments at the Rocky Mountain Laboratory, along with other setbacks for animals under RFK.  @HHSResponse @NIHDirector_Jay @DrJBhattacharya @SecKennedy @RobertKennedyJr whitecoatwaste.org/blog/2026…

Human error? The correctional officers suddenly forgot where the Hope Mission is? They forgot their GPS at home? What a ridiculous line of defence. These are not isolated mistakes. This a deliberate choice that's been going on for years. #ableg #yeg edmontonjournal.com/news/pol…
