Can we stop calling children who read graphic novels, ‘reluctant readers’ please. Just because they’re not reading long-form fiction, doesn’t mean they’re not reading or not enjoying reading. Rant over.

Miss Begum read a FANTASTIC story to Nursery today . It was called Who is in the egg? Did you know that there are lots of other animals that come out of egg? We saw wonderful illustrations of crocodiles 🐊, turtles 🐢 and penguins 🐧! Wow!@BCPP__ @BhamDES

Had a brainwave. Pupils always saying they’re not sure when I need help or what they can do so I created a pupil librarian job board so they can choose a task and everything will be kept up to date! #pupillibrarians @uksla
