A dual shaft configuration lets us individually validate each pump before coupling them together. First one up for testing will be our fuel pump.
The turbine is what provides the power to turbopumps and is essential to their operation. This is the turbine for the fuel half of our dual shaft turbopump assembly.
Now there’s two of them?? The design of our dual shaft kerosene-LOX turbopump is nearing completion with some components even beginning to be manufactured🚀

Final regen igniter firing of the semester at Zucrow Labs. Clean 11 second duration stress test, draining the RP-1 tank to depletion. – at West Lafayette, IN
Update: During multiple hot fire attempts we ran out of both time and daylight so after a third and final attempt, all systems worked together, but a faulty igniter lead to ignition failure. Amazing effort from the team, lots of data collected and more testing to come later🔥
