There is too much pain in this man’s voice, you can feel how much he loves his country and it’s people. His patriotism is not taught in Kyankwanzi otherwise we would have already seen the members from that side sharing this message.

Beyond the promises of oil and economic development lies a more sad story of frontline communities whose land and livelihoods have been disrupted, ecosystems altered, and human rights put under pressure.
Turns out there was no FPIC ( free prior and informed consent) with the affected people hence a meaningfulconsultation was not made before their land was used go the construction of this project, their land rights were not respected and human rights were deprived. The voices from the frontline communities have not been heard those that tried to speak up have been silenced.
What’s next for these communities whose lives have been disrupted?
Where does that leave the environment/biodiversity/ecosystem?
How long is our over dependence on fossil fuels going to stop.
Shouldn’t we be investing in sustainable energy options instead?

“The mandate of BoU is to promote price stability and a sound financial system. What is the impact of this Bill on price stability if it is passed the way it is? Because of the depreciation of the currency that is likely to occur as an unintended consequence of this Bill, we are likely to have a depreciated currency and the pass-through of imported items into domestic prices is going to raise prices significantly. So, our inflation is going to increase via the depreciation of the exchange rate. That means that we will need to either tighten monetary policy further if we are going to contain inflation, or we allow inflation to go beyond the 5% target if we don’t want to raise interest rates. That’s what we will have to grapple with. This inflation of 3% we have been enjoying is likely to be compromised through currency depreciation.” - Governor Atingi-Ego on the Protection of Sovereignty Bill 2026

Kwanjula functions are going off the rail, and losing the intended meaning
I remember when @FrankGashumba said this and people insulted him. Now the Katikkiro is saying the same thing. In fact, @frankbalkazerg1, these discussions should be held monthly.

Yes, two wrongs don’t make a right. But a person who is in the habit of insulting others, calling them imbeciles, baboons, fat, ugly, clowns, stupid … should be the last to take offence about being insulted. The same supporters who find no fault with his insults are now allover the place condemning Aloikin for insulting!!!

You have never called out Muhoozi for insulting Ugandans, stay that side

You can’t run a country with a thin skin that takes offence with criticism, challenge, ridicule, and insult from old people, children, youths, girls, boys, … etc. How far do you go in hunting them down! Eventually, even your own people get scared of you and only sing pretentious praises. You never get to know how they really feel about you, and, eventually, you miss out on constructive advice. Even as you head to a cliff, you will only be cheered on. It is quite predictable how this will end.

Every human being has equal value. Every single one.
At the United Nations General Assembly, I challenged a world that still decides whose lives deserve protection and whose suffering can be ignored.
No race is superior. No people are disposable. Until we honour that truth, "everywhere is war" remains a warning we have failed to heed.
What the world needs now is love, with the courage to confront injustice and defend our shared humanity.
Love and a little kindness. For everyone.
😂😂😂🙌🏻
Same as Makerere Guild Politics.
The outgoing Guild President would hide keys to the Guild Office and the Guild Car to cripple the next President.
When I was @_papawere’s Prime Minister, he even told me to look for the keys to the Makerere Main Gate and close it and hide 😅 🙌🏽

Why not develop it into a better green park?
Greedy is making Kampala city a slum with malls.

Case in Point, The Rossiya Hotel in Moscow, Russia once one of the largest hotels in the world with over 3,000 rooms was demolished by the City of Moscow to create the 35 acre Zaryadye Park, now a signature public park and major tourist attraction in Moscow.
As KCC Authority Council leadership, we shall not allow public green spaces to be taken over. They must be protected and enhanced for the people of Kampala.

Dear H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni @KagutaMuseveni,
I respectfully but firmly reject the proposal to convert City Square into a commercial complex.
Kampala urgently needs better infrastructure and modern facilities. That is not in dispute. What is in dispute is the location. City Square (Constitution Square) is one of the last remaining open green public spaces in the centre of the city. It is used every day by ordinary Ugandans who come here to rest, meet, sit under the trees, and find a brief moment of calm in a congested capital.
Once this space is built over, it cannot be recovered. We can build hotels and malls on many other sites. We cannot create another City Square.
I therefore appeal to you to protect this public park and instruct that the proposal be declined. Let development happen elsewhere so that this historic open space remains available to the people.
Thank you, Your Excellency.
