When I met Jessie Jacobs this summer, she desperately needed her home to be repaired due to catastrophic Harvey damage from 6 years ago.
Now, I am *so pleased* to report, the state is taking action. Jessie's house will be rebuilt.
A story of resilience:

Police presence in Texas schools has swelled.
So has the number of kids referred for prosecution.

The Talarico rumors were proven false. But is that enough to put a conspiracy theory to rest in 2026? The question is relevant in races across the US, in which false claims have gained currency in an election cycle that could flip Congress.

This investigation by ProPublica ...
"No one from any of the states asked us about our backgrounds or qualifications. .. No one questioned what we plan to teach or how we would measure whether students are learning.
And yet we could enroll students in two states right now, if we wanted to. Arkansas even suggested ways our school could accept public money through the state’s voucher-style program."
