I just want to wake up from this nightmare, walk outside my house and once again seeing kids playing on the streets. I want to see people sitting in front of their houses, talking to one another all hours of the day. I want to drive in my car and see peaceful streets filled with American citizens. I want to know when I’m at work my family is safe. I want to be able to go to the supermarket but whatever I need and be able to afford it. I’d love to be able to afford my bills, be able to do family things and still be able to put money in the bank. I want our entire education system to return to normal and teach our kids everything we learned especially the history of this great country. I want the return of religious beliefs without the hateful rhetoric and the return of God into everyone’s life. I want the end of division, the end of racism, and the return of love thy neighbor despite your skin color. I want our kids to once again realize, through hard work anything is possible. I want them to know when I leave this earth, everything is going to be Ok. I want an end to all wars. I want the American Dream to be resurrected. I want the love of our country to return along with American pride.I want love and respect to return to our police officers. I want our justice system restored, criminals taken off the streets. I want the return of mental institutions for those who aren’t fit to live in society as they receive the proper care they need. I want love for our flag and country to be prioritized. I want love and respect for our military who all put their lives on the line to keep us all safe returned. That’s my short list. That is the America I remember. That’s the America I want. That’s the America I want our younger generation to embrace and always ready to fight for. Many of us were fortunate to grow up in that America. We are the backbone that can help restore that America. We know what it takes and if what you are witnessing today doesn’t have you on edge, and willing to do what it takes to get us back to that place, then I’m sorry, you are not made to be a part of our America. Everything I said sounds great. Sounds like a fairytale. A pipe dream. What if I told you, you can have all of it. Everything I said and more. What if I told you we have one last chance to return to the place where many generations all got to enjoy? Sounds impossible? It’s not. When they say free Medicare for all When they say free food, free money, what they are saying is everything that is free comes with a price. It comes with a tab attached. Whatever happened to the Autopen? You know, the one used to forge every document signed? The one that was used to pass an entire commie agenda while going after his political opponents? This country has gone through so much since the Vietnam War, a war btw that set rules and never allowed us to use real American might to take out the enemy, Since then this country suffered many wounds but we always bounced back. We endured the JFK assassination, the heroin and cocaine epidemic, the MLK assassination followed by race riots. This country was constantly punched in the mouth but this country has a granite chin. No matter how bad the situation we always bounced back. Racism hit us extremely hard, we all remember the Rodney King time in history but with the resilience of this great country we not only got passed that but racial tension was on the mend. What makes America so great is we always were able to overcome. Whether you liked or trusted our government, whether you liked or trusted law enforcement, they were the best this world offered. Yes there is bad in everything, corruption always existed, but we were always able to weed out the bad few for the most part, and we always surged ahead The government was respected and law enforcement was beloved. Being a police officer was a privilege. With it came respect and love. They kept us safe within and our govt protected us from enemies afar. Despite the bad apples no one dared fuck with our country. Until complacency set in and our country got lazy. We took our eyes off the ugly world and 911 happened. That was when you got a firsthand look at the kinks in our armor. We were attacked on our homeland and everything changed forever Speaking of change, along came a guy from nowhere, a community organizer with a past that didn’t exist. Enter the Kenyan. America endured a helluva lot over our 250 yr existence but was never attacked from within. It may have started before Obama but ever since him and his manly wife entered the Oval Office, our country was fast tracked into a downward spiral.
