It's not quite.....
I've been driving in my car
It's not quite a Jaguar
I bought it in Primrose Hill
From a bloke from Brazil
It was made in '59
In a factory by the Tyne
It says 'Morris' on the door
The GPO owned it before

Never seen this version before!
Black eye n' all!
One thing about this song tho that has always bothered me. The original should have been faster, it's a shade to pedestrian at this pace. Hint: (Try the 1:25 speed up in the vid settings)
Such a fantastic album, Lee. But really there is only one 'Madness' track, the mind-boggling Benny Bullfrog. Still got no idea how they put that one together, but it's brilliant 😁😁😎😎
On this day in 1981 No 7 UK Album Chart Madness “Madness 7” IMHO yet another masterpiece from start to finish. A very difficult choice but I’ll choose “Grey Day” how about you ? #1980s #StiffRecords #Madness @jillwebb2005 @nikidoog @Carolyn_on_x @FatOldAnarchist @brunstead @SkaManD14
One of the GOAT!
Naughty boys in nasty schools
Headmasters breaking all the rules
Having fun and playing fools
Smashing up the woodwork tools
All the teachers in the pub
Passing 'round the ready rub
Trying not to think of when

When you're going to the top, and you have no time to stop
Then you have to travel light, as you'd better go by night
'Cause it's not a pretty sight when you're going to the top
And you're never going to stop, you won't let nobody block

Hello Good Evening And Welcome
I've been down the high road towards the crossroads
To hear the sound that's buggin' me
Catchy little rhythms in music and rhyme, its that nutty sound you see

A personal fave of mine
It's been some time since that smile upon my face
Had I sneaked previewing town
It's been a while since I gave chase
It's been some time since the girl from 'round my way
Came and took me by the hand

Another great Mike intro
A devout and well respected man
Woe betide you if you wander from God's plan
Square shouldered, straight as a die
The righteous truth, he never tell you no lies
But when that old sun go down

Many thanks @sevenraggedmen
This is what I thought it would be. Nice tho it maybe to have a band you like supporting, that style of music just wouldn't go down well with the audience Madness had at the time sadly. E and B did quality music all the same

Nice one, @lee0969 For me I'll go a bit left field here. Should have been a single imo: On the beat, Pete 😎😎😎
On this day in 1980 No 3 UK Album Chart Madness “Absolutely” IMHO nothing short of a masterpiece which means it’s a very difficult choice for us again. After much thought I’ll choose “Baggy Trousers” how about you? #1980s #Madness @jillwebb2005 @nikidoog @Carolyn_on_x @FatOldAnarchist @brunstead @SkaManD14
