I cannot stress how vital the work of food kitchens in Khartoum are in saving lives.
This is Juhayna, she arrived in Port Sudan recently coming from Khartoum. She’s showing clear signs of malnutrition, as evidenced by the comparison photo of how she looked like a year ago.
In all honesty, international aid groups have been very ineffective in meeting the needs of civilians in Sudan. There exists an uninterrupted supply line straight into Khartoum state, yet people in Khartoum (the capital) are starving!
Please support the vital work of the Khartoum Aid Kitchen initiative to help feed families by donating and sharing the gofundme 🙏🏻

Anyways Columbia and NYU both shut down anti segregation protests back in the day and a riot broke out in the latter so it's not like historically either institution, or any adjacent institution, has ever seriously been on the right side of history during the social upheaval

What's cool about looking back at the history of college protests is that 19 year old students have been right about every single American war, and the esteemed Harvard educated opinion writers at the New York Times have been wrong about every single American war.

I spoke to Ansa Tabassum, the Muslim valedictorian who had her speech invitation revoked. USC had accommodated big names like Barack Obama and Milo Yiannopoulos before on campus. Why not for their very own student? Our interview huffpost.com/entry/usc-valed…

Please understand that "free speech" is not some philosophical ideal that, like "peace," means whatever you feel it means in your heart or your hopes.
"Free speech" is a political project to elevate ideas/people useful to US policy & power structures, here or abroad.

Have you noticed who bleats & preens over "free speech" in this settler colony?
How it's used as cover by the right for astonishing repression, erasure, & violence?

The only problem is, this would require Democrats to want to win.

& the fact that they'll then say "what you want Trump instead?" shows just how much they haven't been listening. Because yeah, at this point? At least under Trump there's some resistance to violence via war, border policing, endless covid infections etc. etc. etc.
