Harming women, much less abducting them, is a serious offense in #Yemen’s tribal culture
Tensions are rising in #Yemen's Amran province. Arhab tribes are protesting after Houthis abducted the daughter of a slain tribal leader (from Arhab) to force her to drop charges against her husband, a Houthi supervisor.
The tribes called for Nakaf (mobilization) in Amran today.

اهتمام إيراني واضح ببناء قدرات الدفاع جوي للحوثيين. هذه أجزاء منظومات دفاع جوي حديثة.
المفارقة أن ايران نفسها فشلت في استخدام هذه المنظومات أثناء الحرب الاسرائيلية عليها، خاصة في الأيام الأولى.

سفينة جيهان عام 2013 كانت تحمل 48 طنا فقط واسلحة عادية باستثناء صواريخ سام يومها
750 طنًا من الأسلحة تتوزع بين منظومات صاروخية بحرية وجوية، ومنظومة دفاع جوي، ورادارات حديثة، وطائرات مسيّرة، وأجهزة تصنت، وصواريخ مضادة للدروع، ومدفعية بي 10، وعدسات تتبُّع، وقناصات وذخائر، ومعدات حربية، سيطرت عليها بحرية المقاومة الوطنية بعد رصد ومتابعة شعبة الاستخبارات في المقاومة.
وسيكشف الاعلام العسكري عن كل تفاصيل العملية التي كانت في طريقها من إيران الى الحوثي استمرارا لقتالهم الشعب اليمني والسيطرة على قرارة ومصادرة سلطته الجمهورية.
التحية لابطال المقاومة الوطنية، والعهد لكل يمني بجهود لاتتوقف ضد مشاريع الحرس الثوري وتصدير ثورة الخميني.

A tanker acquired by the UN for $55m to prevent a massive oil spill off Yemen is essentially being used by the #Houthis as floating storage for Russian oil, while costs for running the vessel are still being fronted by the UN.
The UN purchased the VLCC Yemen in 2023 as part of an operation to salvage the oil on board FSO Safer, a 49-year-old floating storage unit that was in danger of sinking.
Both Yemen and the still floating FSO Safer are now under the effective control of the Houthis, the Iran-backed Yemeni militia group responsible for attacking over 100 ships since November 2023.

Houthis are going through their worst PR crisis since October 7th. Now, they’re desperately trying to cover up their latest heinous crime (the killing of 70-year-old Sheikh Saleh Hantous) and spread pathetic justifications and excuses to the few supporters they have left in the Arab world.
Overnight, many of their former sympathizers, people who once called them heroes, have turned on them, now labeling them as nothing more than militias and gangsters. For the Houthis, who spent years chasing regional and international sympathy, this is a serious setback.

Was on @Channel8English when news of US strikes broke. The concern was blowback. But this isn’t the start of a war; it’s the culmination of months of targeting. Hezbollah weakened. IRGC commanders killed. Houthi missiles intercepted. Israel clipped IRGC's wings before attacking.

The UN’s concern is fair. But for years, Iran used its nuclear program as a shield against accountability. The IRGC acted with impunity, the mess it caused in Syria & Yemen was a byproduct of that protected space. Carved out by diplomacy without enforcement. Fordow is what grew in the space where no one said “enough.”
I am gravely alarmed by the use of force by the United States against Iran today. This is a dangerous escalation in a region already on the edge – and a direct threat to international peace and security.
There is a growing risk that this conflict could rapidly get out of control – with catastrophic consequences for civilians, the region, and the world.
I call on Member States to de-escalate and to uphold their obligations under the @UN Charter and other rules of international law.
At this perilous hour, it is critical to avoid a spiral of chaos.
There is no military solution.
The only path forward is diplomacy.
The only hope is peace.
