PERFORM, a 2020 Thoroughbred gelding by Good Magic, made 13 starts on the track, including an appearance in the 2023 Preakness Stakes! Now, this former racehorse is making a name for himself in a whole new arena with his owner, Violet! 💕
Perform and Violet took on the Freestyle and Field Hunter disciplines at this year's Retired Racehorse Project Thoroughbred Makeover, showcasing just how versatile and talented these incredible athletes can be! 🐎✨
A special thank you to Lane's End Farm for donating Perform to our program and helping make his next chapter possible. Congratulations to Violet and Perform on this exciting accomplishment! 💓

We bought a TERRIFIC Upstart colt from @MachmerHall at #KeeSept... exactly 11 days after former roster member Videri was the Champion Thoroughbred Hunter and Hunter Derby winner (both 2'6) at Warrenton. Raise winners, buy winners, campaign winners... but support them win or lose.
🗣️ "If one day people can say that Carrie Brogden helped solve the aftercare problem, right now that's a huge driving force in my life."

WOW just like WOW WOW .. I don't speak French and this is one of the most moving voices I have ever heard. Reminds me of the first time I heard Hello by Adele and note: French is not her first language. She is Dutch!
HONORED for Machmer Hall and the future @USHJA TB Renaissance series to be featured in today's @theTDN . This series will do for aftercare/2nd careers of our Thoroughbreds what the @BreedersCup did for horse racing. It will compliment and uplift the already wonderful @jockeyclub 's TIP program, @TAKE2Tbreds @RRP_TBMakeover @SecretariatCen1 @NewVocations ,etc. The problem was NEVER the horses.. the problem was the demand. @FasigTiptonCo @keenelandsales @OBSSales

On this day in history in 2010, What a Trippi ran the final race of his 42 start career. A few weeks later, he was mine.
Last weekend, at 22, he horse showed in the prestigious Dixon Oval at Devon.
Horse of a lifetime.
