Better late than never Martyn! Every deadline missed but delighted I can now share the outcome of the JLA inspection. I am delighted with the report even though we did feel the school deserved a couple more darker greens dots. reports.ofsted.gov.uk/provid…

As a head I'm beginning to get ground down by complaints, SARs, lack of money, no staff, absence and a constant pressure to do better with less. It's not sustainable and we need to actually do something beyond describing the known issues. I've seen too many good people go.

Great season for our 1sts. Finishing 3rd in a very competitive league. Great team performances with everyone contributing throughout the year. Brilliantly led by Muzza, one of the best team spirits we have had for many years. Well done lads.

Love the fact that he has been honoured but does anyone else think it should be SIR KEVIN SINFIELD? Can’t think of anyone more deserving. He has shown all of us the true meaning of friendship and raised millions for his pal and transformed awareness along the way. #SirKev #Arise #KnighthoodForSinfield #KevTheKnight #Honours #NewYearHonours

Just read of the sad loss of Sir Tim Brighouse. This list has been on the wall of my class then Office for ever and was and is the most important list I’ve ever had. It’s constantly reminded me that teaching is more than what happens in lessons and that it’s about being human.
