Those idiots over at Activision remastered MW2’s single player but refused to release the multiplayer of MW2 Remastered despite it being one of their most loved MP’s in COD history. And when fans try to bring it back they let everyone buy the game thinking they can play the mod, and then cease and desist it last second right before public release. Fuckin scumbags, just release MW2 remastered multiplayer then??? Clearly people want it.

Rockstar saw the potential of FiveM and online modding for their game and bought them out to support them officially. FiveM makes sales for GTA 5, players love it, it’s a mutualistic relationship that both parties benefit from. Activision sees an online mod for their game, that too requires a purchase of their game, with tons of passion put in with massive community support and views it as a threat that must be shut down. This is why no one likes you Activision.

Activision knew about this for ages, and waited til the day before launch to send a C&D for a FREE MOD that had people purchasing THEIR OWN GAME.
This isn’t just corporate greed, this is straight up evil and was done to spite the community.

We are begging that you guys reconsider this decision @Activision. To be clear we have zero involvement in this project outside of being massive fans. We were excited to produce an ILLCAMS on the H2 mod. Their team made it a requirement to purchase the original MW2 Remastered published by YOU GUYS. An excellent asset to onboard users/ players to your product. This is harmless fun and community building. Something we feel Call of Duty desperately needs. Please do the right thing and let the kids play their game 🙏

It took Activision 8 years to take legal action against Engine Owning (COD cheat dev since 2014), but they act immediately against a non profit, community driven, passion project that REQUIRES players to purchase MW2 from Activision to play?!
