debian 12.8 updates coming down today. One is for a new 6.1 kernel which may trigger dkms rebuilds, and one is for libc, which triggers locale generation, so your update may take a little longer than usual today. @MX_Linux

coming soon (today?) MX-Package Installer will add flathub-verified as a subset of the usual flathub remote/repo. As of version 24.6.02, you should be able to choose the repo/remote set you wish to view from the existing remote selection combo box. @MX_Linux

We are planning to push out liquorix linux kernel 6.8 into the ahs repo this weekend. Nvidia legacy drivers will not build on this kernel. Those of you using AHS repo and liquorix kernel autoupdates and legacy nvidia drivers should not update to the 6.8 kernel. @MX_Linux

@MX_Linux Debian just pushed an update to the 6.1 kernel (6.1.0-18) that apparently has issues building the nvidia kernel drivers. ahs users or users of non-6.1 debian kernels should be unaffected. forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.…

about time to refresh the official install @MX_Linux install media. We've got sddm display manager fixes (no more restarts!), installer fixes, and some new optimization in snapshot and the installer to help deal with swapfiles a little better. oh, and kernel updates.

Do I even need to say how many localizations have been added/fixed/updated in the last two weeks. Seriously, its a lot. Are we perfect, well, no. But we are very fortunate to have active users taking an interest in localization! @MX_Linux

orca and a screen magnifier will be on the beta2. orca doesn't seem to integrate very well with Xfce but it will be present. cntrl++ will popup a screen magnifier on the Xfce release.
