Painful that the only commentary on this Portland-London game is the arena announcer and there’s no score on screen. I know it’s preseason but this is like someone just stuck up a camera and pressed ‘Start Livestream’.
Astonishing to see a UK team face a NBA one with London Lions visiting Portland for a friendly today.
@trailblazers instantly cause international incident by claiming GSTK is “England’s national anthem.” Ooft.

What the NBA needs to realize is that if it establishes a separate league centered around western European cities, it's biggest competition won't be the euroleague. It'll be UEFA, because you'll need to convert football fans into basketball fans. Good luck with that
The more I hear the “basketball is the second highest participated sport in the UK”, the more apathetic I am to it.
If this metric has been present for so long and it’s never translated to growth. There are issues beyond playing that need considered
Whelp… the separation remains..
What happens next? Yet to be seen.
Another cross-Europe competition joins the fold or do they back off for a while to rethink and plan a new strategy?
The NBA's proposal for a potential collaboration with EuroLeague is reportedly being rejected by virtually all member teams 😳

An observation here . . .
The live stream for this game had 87k viewers. That's for a preseason game, between LDN & Paris. Not big hitting Greek, Turkish, Spainish teams etc.
SLB finals on YouTube had 6.4k views. The eyes Euroleague can bring to UK ball is actually nuts.

adult friendship is basically “i love you, i’m alive, life beating my ass, talk soon.” 😭
When this ending happened, I could NOT stop laughing. Uncontrollably, tears in my eyes. To this day I’m still not quite sure why
Why oh why am I so awkward trying to speak to a camera?? 🤣
More reps I guess. Maybe I’ll make some actual opinion driven content at some point
Think I might try my hand at recording some content around the @gbbasketball game.
Should be an exciting one and from watching the game back vs Switzerland, this feels like a different vibe across the squad

Make it 37 NBA players participating in @FIBAWC qualifying starting today through Monday: Boston’s Amari Williams is playing for Great Britain to give the Celtics four representatives in this window.
The Pelicans’ Karlo Matković joins Ivica Zubac and Mario Hezonja on the Croatia roster … taking our count for active NBA players who are playing @FIBAWC qualifiers across the next five days to 36.
We add Matković and Svi Mykhailiuk to the long list below …
Raising the standard of a team is always difficult..
My attempt at it tonight at practice. Getting actively involved and showing them what I expect from them.
Totally not sweating and heaving 😅

An exceptional insight into the differences between the SLB and the PLK, with an emphasis placed on how there is several factors playing into how a specific player performs. Will be interesting to see the players who have made the move between the leagues and how their performances translate.
Zawodnik z poukładaną głową, wsparciem rodziny i bez problematycznego ego to skarb. Tacy ludzie przychodzą na trening pierwsi, budują atmosferę i nie marudzą o rolę.
2. Dopasowanie do szatni: Nawet zawodnik z ogromnym talentem i świetnym rzutem (profil 3&D, atakowanie z 1-2 kozłów, gra bez piłki) polegnie, jeśli trafi do toksycznej szatni pełnej zawodników chcących być liderem za wszelką cenę. Chemia zespołu zawsze wygrywa z samym talentem.
3. Głód i motywacja: Warto dokładnie sprawdzić, dlaczego dany gracz wybiera akurat tę ligę. Sprawy prywatne, chęć odbudowy po kontuzji czy konkretny cel życiowy często dają większą gwarancję zaangażowania niż same pieniądze.
Świetna perspektywa i dużo cennej wiedzy z pierwszej ręki.
