So sad to hear this news, but so grateful for the years we had with @MWGothic, which first published my essay "Driftless," and in a very real way helped clear the path toward my book. To my friends @robhollywood & @pfallerj, thank you for giving our Midwestern words a home.

Very sad news. I had one of my first short stories published here.
Seems their catalogue will be available until the end of the year. I encourage you to check out this literary journal and press. They were doing important work.
I recommend the novels of @eshonkwiler. – at Yorktown, VA

#LunchHourReading today pt 1: Matt Whelihan's excellent short story "Eighteen Dead Water Buffalo" from @MWGothic magazine, Winter 2018 issue. Young, underachieving grad spends 6 mos as an apprentice to a janitor, who tells him stories, all of which are tall tales -or are they..?
