the diary entry starts with him writing a piece for the sun. probably the sun’s web archive is rubbish, dunno why they’d care about making it better, it’s all very disposable content and i doubt their audience is crying out for 20 year old articles

completely disagree with streeting suggesting that benn’s position here has any relevance to streeting writing for the sun, but i found this quote very easily by googling “well i don’t want to be known as a sun columnist”. page 609 of his Free At Last diaries, entry 9th June 2000
