Pickford is symptomatic of England's issues. The guy is at best mediocre, very error prone, poor reach and decision making, mostly bad distribution (can occasionally hit a long pass), constantly screaming like a rabid dog. Yet. Gets constantly praised when he makes basic saves.

England number 1 is one of the hardest positions in football. Everything you do is scrutinised and it’s almost like fans and media are praying for you to make a mistake. Pickford has been one of Englands most consistent performers over the past 5+ years + has never let them down.

Pickford had a good game last night yet I see people slating him for not saving the shot which was apparently “in the middle” of the goal. People won’t realise how good Pickford is until he is replaced by someone who Will inevitably make mistake after mistake
