Seems a bit embarrassing that ABC and ESPN have a million people devoted to that broadcast and they are on the air for a long time after game ended — but no one noticed one second left?

Don’t fumble the spike before halftime and you have a chip shot field goal to win.
BYU is a good team, but the Irish blew this one.

In addition to clear PI, here’s the ball bouncing off the ground with 1 second left.

BTW… The final play in the ND game against BYU was an officiating felony on 2 counts. First.. clearly the BYU defender committed Pass Interference against the ND receiver.. plus.. There was one second left in the game as the play ended.. Big 12 Officials should be fired..👎

How the fuck can anyone say this isn’t PI? I’m so god damn sick of Notre Dame getting shafted by officials because they refuse to join a conference. Go look at the A&M game last year as well. Also fuck @KirkHerbstreit you sellout shill.

Miss the biggest call of the game & let a field storming distract you from seeing a very obvious 1 sec on the game clock..
The crew couldn’t have messed that play up more

Big 12 admits clock error on final play of Notre Dame-BYU game. Should have been 1 second left, allowing Notre Dame to run another play

Notre Dame. Second straight year absolutely hosed at the end of a game by the officiating crew. FUCKING bullshit.

Big 12 officials are the biggest joke in all of sports & league needs to completely clean house & bring in all new people
We all know Notre Dame probably would’ve won that game

ESPN will make sureNotre Dame does not get in playoffs they needed to go unbeaten

FOX rules analyst Mike Pereira told The Athletic that the ending of the BYU-Notre Dame game was “embarrassing for all officiating” and that Notre Dame should “get one more play.”
The Irish were at the center of two officiating controversies Saturday night: a potential missed defensive pass interference call and questions over whether one second should have remained on the clock after the final play.

I hate Notre Dame. I’ve hated them my whole life.
But they got absolutely hosed at the end of that game.
First the missed blatant PI call and then not putting time back on the clock when there was clearly one second left.
It’s actually insane how bad refs have been this year.

ESPN story from controversial ND/BYU ending in Provo, as the Big 12 admits mistake: “it was determined that time remained on the clock when the ball hit the ground and the play was incorrectly cleared by the replay officiating crew,"

We can debate the Miami ending, but that missed DPI on BYU was far more egregious than anything that happened in that game
PolishedGoldenDome retweeted
Egregious no call but to compound it by not recognizing there still was one second on the clock is mind blowing. What’s crazy to me is how much money is in college football, yet the officiating still horrific.

No dog in the fight, but PI doesn’t get any clearer than what the BYU defensive back did on the final play of that game to Notre Dame’s Jaden Greathouse. That’s a flag. If you don’t have the temerity to throw that flag there in Provo, Utah in that moment then you shouldn’t be on the field as an official.
