Meaningful & fruitful deliberations covered the 6th cycle of Management Effectiveness Evaluation, tiger corridors, active management of tiger populations, M-STrIPES, 6th cycle of AITE, Project Cheetah, conservation of Batagur baska, and long-term monitoring of tigers in Kanha.

A key highlight of the #GlobalTigerDay2026 celebrations was the presentation of the NTCA Awards, recognising outstanding contributions towards tiger conservation across India.
This year, 26 frontline personnel and teams from Tiger Reserves across the country were honoured across 7 award categories for their exemplary work in wildlife protection, anti-poaching operations, habitat management, wildlife crime prevention and prosecution, monitoring, village relocation, community participation, eco-development, and tourism management.
