Mississippi's non-farm employment reached a new all-time high in May.
Governor @tatereeves said yesterday that "Mississippi has one of the hottest job markets in America."
MSBA President & CEO John McKay echoed that sentiment in an interview with @WLBT, noting that employers are looking for "skilled people who can come in and be ready on day one."
That's why continued investment in workforce development matters. By preparing Mississippians for in-demand careers and helping employers find qualified talent, we're building a stronger economy and creating more opportunities across the state!

Good to speak to the newly formed Mississippi Business Alliance about the Senate’s work to strengthen workforce development and support Mississippi’s economic development boom.
We are working to invest more in public education, better align degree programs with workforce needs, and create opportunities for Mississippians to return to community college to upgrade their skills and earn a high-demand license, certificate, or degree.
