Search & Rescue is my passion, but its knowledge base is wide and deep and difficult to navigate I'm hoping this personal project will start to address that.

We've been a little quiet on Twitter/X, but not quiet in assisting @bedspolice and @HertsPolice . We're already up to 8 Callouts this year. Our Professional Volunteers continue to operate and train in all weathers 24/7 and are available when needed.

A timelapse of the aerial firefighting battle that took place over the Santa Monica mountains and Mulholland drive last night. This is near encino reservoir which the helicopters used to refill. It’s also near Mountain Gate, and Brentwood. Incredible firefighting.#PalisadesFire

From our workshops that test out the two tone tune to officers deploying to jobs, this little fella has been sat patiently observing the noise to recreate it! 🐦⬛

We would like to extend our thanks to all the search and rescue volunteers assisting in this large scale search @LowlandRescue without volunteers like yourselves the Police search job would be very difficult. Well done

Due to the high levels of rainfall water levels in rivers in the Leighton Buzzard area such as the River Ouzel & Clipstone Brook are higher than normal. Please avoid areas near the rivers as much as possible & keep adults, children and pets well away from the edges of the rivers.

The BT 999/112 service is experiencing a significant increase in 999 calls. This is due to an issue on Android devices which initiates an emergency call when the side button is pressed 5 times. Please be aware of this, especially if your phone is in a bag or pocket

Do you love to spend time around water?
Make sure you know what to do if you or someone else falls in.
40% of people who accidentally drowned in 2021 did not expect to enter the water.
