Burnham is being caused considerable discomfort answering questions about the Manchester City scandal.
This could not only damage him and his administration it could bring him down faster than his most unpopular predecessor Starmer.
The Manchester City scandal will lift the veil on hugely corrupt solicitors , accountants and executives in formerly industry respected firms.
As I told you many weeks ago the whole reason for Number 10 North is to keep a loyal presence in Manchester and a lid on any scandals from Burnhamās tenure there as Mayor.
It looks like his new satellite office might have its work cut out already.

This is totally disingenuous, are you saying that anyone who goes into a care home receives it for free? So nobody needs to sell their house when they go into a care home? The only people in my family who received that were those in council houses with assets below 16k.

NO YOU DONT !
It costs 1000s a week for the elderly in Care Homes.
ALL their money, through house sales and pensions , are pooled and used to finance their care . They are only allowed Ā£39 a week after the deductions š¤¬š¬š§

I'm just not convinced we need to fund the Wellcome Trust - to the tune of £103 million (2021-25) - if it has money spare to commission a hip-hop song.
The @wellcometrust, which received £103,600,000 from taxpayers between 2021-25, commissions American hip-hop artists to write a song about climate change:
Yes please

Ā£21 million written off. Again.
Not a one-off.
Not a surprise.
Scottish Enterprise does this every year, £19m, £30m, £31.5m, now another £21m.
Add it up and youāre looking at well over Ā£100 million of public money since 2019 that will never come back.
They call it āhigh-risk, high-reward.ā
The risk sits with the taxpayer. The reward, when there is one, is claimed in press releases.
When the company dies, it becomes a line in the accounts and everyone moves on.
If this was your money in a private fund, the people writing those cheques would be out the door.
Because itās Holyroodās money, we get the same statement about leveraging private capital and a portfolio thatās still āvaluedā at hundreds of millions, right after another eight-figure hole.
How many more annual write-off stories before someone treats this as a pattern, not an unfortunate cost of doing business?

19 years of SNP government and Scottish universities are Ā£200 million in the hole, research is half a billion short, and thereās a billion-pound repairs backlog.
Free tuition made a great slogan. It did not make a funded system.
They cut the real-terms teaching grant, sold the āno feesā line as moral superiority, then quietly let foreign students pay the bills.
Now that crutch is wobbling and the sector is cutting jobs and courses.
Muscatelli calls it bleak.
Thatās what happens when you treat a world-class university system as a branding exercise instead of something you actually have to pay for.
You donāt get a āwellbeing economyā by running the places that train the next generation of Scots into the ground.
It's sad because our education system was world famous and it produced many famous Scots. Because of the SNP's stupidity, the future looks bleak.

Ā£10,236 for eight of Scotlandās most senior civil servants to learn how to work together.
At some point you have to consider the possibility that anyone requiring Ā£10,000 of consultants to explain teamwork probably shouldnāt be running a government department.

Nauseating hypocrisy. You and your partyās green mongering over the years have driven BP and others away. You gave virtue signalling priority over jobs, families, communities. And now you express concern for them. Pass the sick bag. Scotland is truly run by a kakistocracy. But Scots only have themselves to blame. They keep electing self-serving numpties.

Andy Burnham, or āBlakey Burnhamā, as he is now known, had a chance encounter with Kemi Badenoch on the buses yesterday. She stuck it to him, and the moustache too!

Thirty minutes and £30,000 for the weekly flight to Number 10 in the North may sound like a bargain, but the real show was onboard, as Angela Rayner, Frank Gallagher, Andy Burnham, Lucy Powell and Liam Gallagher unleashed Manchesterism at 30,000 feet.
