I teach Physics at Illinois Wesleyan, a nice, small liberal arts college. My (serious) research is routinely rephrased in terms of (playful) sci-fi references.

The future of Quantum Science & Engineering, focused on undergraduate students, is here, at Illinois Wesleyan University #ITeachScience
Today is the birthday of Enrico Fermi, playfully referred to as 'The Last Man Who Knew Everything.' An appropriate way to celebrate might be to spend some time reading #ITeachPhysics
My Optics students create their own Computer-generated Holograms: the 1st image shows the calculated “optical texture” and the 2nd is a resulting image of the Illinois Wesleyan University mascot. Huzzah! #ITeachPhysics

Amazing day at @IL_Wesleyan where President Sheahon Zenger accepted a gift and announced creation of the Fisher Center for Interdisciplinary Quantum Science & Engineering.
Thank you to Ann & Alan Fisher for making this fantastic gift that will impact future generations. They are leaving a legacy and as Dr. Jaggi noted “Legacy is not what you leave behind, it’s what you set in motion.”
I serve on the IWU Board of Trustees with Ann and appreciate their generosity.
Remarks were offered by @GovPritzker along with @IllinoisEDC’s Chief Quantum Officer Preeti Chalsani along with IWU leadership.
Quantum will have a major impact on manufacturing so I got to wear my @IMA_Today hat as well!!
