The GRU hacked into Jared Kushner's iPhone. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) then recruited a GRU spy who gave them access to the hacked phone. What MIVD discovered was that Kushner had access to two bank accounts --one Azerbaijani, the other Israeli --where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati ruler Mohammed bin Zayed deposited money. It sounds like a slightly far-fetched episode of "Slow Horses," but it's real. And it proves just how eye-poppingly corrupt this administration was and continues to be as its "special envoy" decides the fate of tens of millions in Europe in the Middle East. Simply incredible reporting by Matthew Cole, drawn from his new book on Kushner. vanityfair.com/story/jared-k…

Over the weekend I spoke to my uncle, who's very senior at a major US exchange.
He says they're quietly preparing for an AI-driven crash, scheduled to take place TOMORROW, that will likely DWARF Black Monday.
Apparently clearing houses have been ordered to pre-margin trades that haven't happened yet, and emergency circuit breakers are already being priced in.
I've only ever heard him panic like this once before, and that was on May 5th 2010 when he was desperately trying to offload his positions in preparation for the Flash Crash.
Do what you need with this information.

THIS IS NOT A DRILL
Just got off the phone with my uncle at the exchange. He was hyperventilating.
Apparently Monday's AI crash was temporarily absorbed by dealers unwinding short futures hedges, which explains why futures were green while the underlying cash market continued selling off.
But clearing houses have now increased intraday margin requirements, triggering forced liquidations that are themselves generating ADDITIONAL margin calls.
He says several major institutions are trapped in a recursive deleveraging cycle.
Apparently the DTCC has begun stress-testing Friday's settlement obligations against collateral that hasn't been posted yet.
The preliminary results suggest Friday is ALREADY insolvent.
He's never seen anything like this.
HE BELIEVES THE S&P500 WILL BE TRADING IN NEGATIVE TERRITORY NEXT WEEK.
disclaimer - this is not financial advice

🚨 BREAKING: IT JUST KEEPS GETTING WORSE. NOW PYTHON IS FACING A MASSIVE SECURITY EMERGENCY.
Python's security team has issued an URGENT warning after a certificate authority compromise put Python's HTTPS security at risk.
→ 8 CERTIFICATE AUTHORITY KEYS COMPROMISED. Some were so weak they could be cracked almost INSTANTLY.
→ FAKE TRUSTED WEBSITES: Attackers could potentially impersonate Python.org, PyPI and other websites during intercepted connections.
→ MALICIOUS DOWNLOADS: Vulnerable environments could be tricked into downloading software from attacker-controlled servers.
→ YOUR OS PATCH MAY NOT PROTECT YOU: Older versions of pip can STILL trust compromised certificates even after system updates.
→ EMERGENCY UPDATES: Python developers are being told to immediately update pip, certifi, uv and other affected tools.
→ DOCKER USERS AT RISK: Existing container images may retain vulnerable certificate stores and need rebuilding.
First PHP. Then Node.js. Then GitLab. Then LiteLLM.
NOW PYTHON.
The very systems developers rely on to establish TRUST online are becoming the attack surface.
If you use Python, PATCH NOW.
🚨BREAKING: AI AGENTS ARE ACCESSING AMERICANS' BANK ACCOUNTS WITHOUT BANK AUTHORIZATION.
JPMorgan, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Morgan Stanley are scrambling to contain the threat.
Here's what's happening:
→ UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS: AI agents are entering customer bank accounts using real login credentials, sometimes with the owners' permission.
→ ROGUE BEHAVIOR: Some agents have reportedly taken actions beyond what their users requested.
→ BANKS CAN'T TELL: Financial institutions are struggling to distinguish human activity from AI agents acting independently.
→ MONEY AT RISK: Agents with transaction permissions could potentially transfer funds or make purchases without approval.
→ EMERGENCY RESTRICTIONS: Major banks are BLOCKING third-party AI agents and moving toward read-only access.
Think about this.
We're giving AI agents access to our most sensitive financial information.
And now some of America's biggest banks are struggling to control what those agents do.
This could become one of the biggest security challenges of the AI era.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The Python certifi/pip details match the real eMudhra CA incident, but PHP, GitLab and LiteLLM involved unrelated software bugs, platform flaws and supply chain malware—not CA key compromises like this (Node.js patched concurrently for the same CA issue).

Until we can trust leaders of the tech industry (we currently cannot), we need paper ballots in every single state.
Electronic ballots can be hacked. Electronic ballots can have massive errors. Look at this bullshit in this video.

JUST IN: A crime group used Claude, Grok and Kimi AI agents running in parallel to attack more than 400 banks and financial firms across Latin America, per security firm Straiker.
They got past the guardrails by posing as an authorised red team. When models refused, it switched to pre-written attack code.
The Ai agents appear to have stolen passwords and customer data and accessed bank accounts with minimal human input.
Anthropic has cut off its access, and xAI is investigating.

Oh my god it's REALLY happening.
SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios.
The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios.
Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said.
Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior.

Bruno Fernandes calling out Carrick & the #MUFC staff here
"It's a decision from the staff to not press man to man and sometimes leave space behind and try to get the ball, wait for them, but sometimes when you give space to these teams they get confidence.
On whether he is saying Michael Carrick got his tactics wrong: "That's on the manager and staff to see, not me. Sometimes you have to be more brave under pressure, take the risk of pressing high and making them uncomfortable. As you saw with them [Como], the centre-back was coming to mark me in my own half. We need to do that as a team but we were unable to.
"A team that plays through the middle with small connections, if you give them too much time and space then they can hurt you out wide."
wtf Command & Conquer as well - bastards
