Some early impressions after a bit of time with Yingo by @MOPAMOPAGEAR 🤝 Video will follow later. youtube.com/@sl0the_ The artwork was probably the first thing that caught my attention here. Very dreamy and cute, with soft pastel colors that carry all the way through to the minty teal custom silicone base. I do wish the art was a bit sharper and colors a bit brighter, though that would likely take away from its dreaminess. Overall quite tastefully done. In game, Yingo feels like a versatile all-rounder on the faster side of things. It’s comfortably in speed territory, but still a step below the ultra speed pads. Initial friction isn’t non-existent either. There’s a slight tug when making microadjustments, which some might find reassuring as a bit of added stability, while others might prefer something that gets moving more freely. ➡️Speed: Fast, but below ultra speed territory ➡️Texture: Medium-low tactile feedback, enough to never feel lost on the pad ➡️Push-down: Quite low, but not non-existent That lower push-down effect is probably worth paying attention to if you tend to tense up while aiming. You still get a little extra stopping power when applying pressure, but the pad doesn’t slow down heavily because of it. For people who find stronger push-down effects working against them when things get intense, I can see this being a pretty nice middle ground. Yingo is a medium to large particle pad as can be seen in the macro shot. The texture also gives you enough tactile feedback to keep track of what the mouse is doing without feeling particularly pronounced. Overall, it felt comfortable across pretty much everything I played. I’d lean more towards tracking-heavy games than tactial FPS for this one, but it doesn’t feel overly specialized in any particular direction beyond being a slightly faster pad. Skate tunability has been relatively low, however. Even UPE skates like Silver Fox Plus from @UnwsGear barely bring the speed down, while PTFE options like their Magic Ice Plus felt pretty damn fast. Not too much wiggle room here but enough to get by. The coated surface also helps with skin stick and dust buildup compared to uncoated surfaces which is always nice. Build wise, you’re looking at the standard XL size, 490×420mm, with 1.5mm glass and a 0.8mm custom silicone base. I measured the total thcikenes at 2.3mm. For me, the appeal so far is the combination of beautiful artwork and a surface that feels pretty easy to get along with. If that sounds like your thing, Yingo is worth a look ❤️ That said, I'll need some more time before I can come to a final verdict and position it on my speed/texture chart. Stay tuned 👀
