Programs need to stop trying to limit players’ earning potential. Accept that some, just like on the field, have more value than others.
Last week, Mike Gundy complained about how players are constantly asking for more NIL money.
Today, Gundy praised the Cowboys' new NIL helmet initiative as "revolutionary."

This one is on the Argos’ staff. They called a timeout on the previous play when they noticed Antwi lined up on the LOS in a 2nd and X long situation. Had a chance to coach up their guys. Instead, Als simply flip the formation on the very next the play🤦🏻♂️

Why did the Argos allow Kelly on the field? They are co-defendants in a civil lawsuit. Suspending him sends the message that he did something wrong, therefore they likely did as well. Fortunately, the court of public opinion put enough pressure forcing them to course correct #CFL

Although this is a step in the right direction, considering the nature of the allegations, Kelly should have been suspended immediately whilst waiting for the outcome of the independent investigation.

It is now May 1. The CFL announced an investigation into the Chad Kelly matter in *February.*
Still no resolution. Players report to their respective camps in just a few days.
Randy Ambrose in February said, "We take the allegations against the Toronto Argonauts and Mr. Kelly very seriously..."
Now, the month of May. Nothing resolved. Quietly, for fear of retribution should they speak out, many around the league are upset - and some actually disgusted - with how this has played out.
In large part, because some have their suspicions on how it would have unfolded, and been handled, if Kelly wasn't a star QB. Others wonder if the league's wishes for a strong Toronto franchise weighs in.
Which obviously should not matter in a situation like this one.
Real questions have come up: What message does the handling of all of this send to females who work in the Canadian pro football ecosystem? Does the league have their back? If this happened in-season, how would it be dealt with?
And yet it's now the first of May. The beginning of new beginnings, with the most vital questions in the CFL needing answers, yet none provided, on the doorstep of another season beginning across the league.
