It was a great pleasure to attend the experience-sharing session hosted by the Maldives National University Students’ Union @MNUSU for participants of the Yunnan Open University Exchange Programme. I was delighted to hear the students’ inspiring reflections on their visit to Yunnan, the friendships they built, the knowledge they gained, and the unforgettable memories they created. These firsthand experiences demonstrate the tremendous value of educational and cultural exchanges in broadening horizons and fostering mutual understanding among young people. The thoughtful questions raised by the students at the end of the session were particularly impressive. Their curiosity, critical thinking, and aspirations for the future reflected the great potential of Maldivian youth. They have given me even greater confidence in the Maldives’ future development and in building an even closer China–Maldives community with a shared future.
