A note to congratulate @ReformedBroker for his recent To my Jewish etc blog. Great piece of work my friend. On another note #billions I nearly leapt out of my chair.

You've got to change up the language to keep people engaged xitter.cf/RegisMedia/status/1089…
The biggest challenge good investment writers face is having to say the same things again and again without boring their readers to death @RobinJPowell ow.ly/Wc1730nr5nX

As we start the last full week of January, are you working towards your goals for the year yet? Or are you wondering if you might have been a little too optimistic? #motivationalmonday ow.ly/kCiu30nnA2Q
Blanket advice on money is always risky, there's no one size fits all. You've got to start with really understanding your own goals and values - what really matters to you nerdwallet.com/article/you-d…
It's so important to start talking about money with your children when they're younger and encourage saving from the very start, rather than trying to change habits as they get older. This gives them a chance to have better financial wellness later in life skynews.com.au/details/_5774…

Holding your nerve in turbulent markets can be tricky. All too often investors let their emotions get the better of them. If you can manage your long term view, you'll be better prepared for when things do take a turn - either way #ausbiz #AXS ow.ly/rf4x30mQTJb

More and more people seeing the light @RobinJPowell unfortunately still too many lured by the illusion of out-performance peddled by some in the industry. Simply focusing on satisfying one's lifestyle objectives is the way to go. xitter.cf/RobinJPowell/status/99…
Fascinating interview with Oxford economics professor Bent Flyvbjerg. He says he wasted a lot of money on #ActiveManagement before he realised it was all bunkum (he actually used another word beginning with b) #EvidenceInvesting

Absolutely @johnnyshap disclosure obviously a serious issue. Unfortunately the Royal Commission has (rightly) drawn a focus on poor advice meaning even less Aussies will seek financial counsel. It'll likely lead to even more examples like the sad cases set out in your article. xitter.cf/johnnyshap/status/9994…
Replying to @MNFinLife
This is undoubtedly an issue. Big had major disclosure issues but investors really need a better handle on basic concepts of investment risk
What are these crazy people doing investing such a large % of their wealth in a start up? No sympathy really, it's about time investors took some responsibility for the decisions they make. Lunacy investing large $$ in such companies in your 70's unless you can afford the loss. xitter.cf/johnnyshap/status/9992…

Brilliant - sounds like FASIA's plan for financial advisers, total focus on technical education - hopeless and hapless. Let's hope someone takes notice @johnnyshap xitter.cf/johnnyshap/status/9911…
Quite an incredible report by APRA this morning on CBA board, senior management. Takes aim at high IQs, overly collegiate culture. Almost like an anti business school case study, highlights overlooked importance of a strong risk culture. Worth a read
Nice one James and good luck to you Devan xitter.cf/MillhavenFS/status/989…
It is a pleasure to welcome Devan to the team. vid.us/11d55u
