LOVE our current presenter @penelopehegseth !! Each year she devotes her expertise to our Fellows as a #StrengthsFinder coach, helping them to discover and understand their strengths. This session focuses on them as individuals, to be effective/impactful leaders. Thank you Penny!

We are so grateful for @JillJohnsonUSA presentations each year and access to materials that help MEPS Fellows with continued self-reflection and growth, increasing their personal level of confidence. So important for our political and community leaders to influence & have impact.

Excited to kick off today’s class w/ guest speaker @gavinhanson talking about Minnesota’s State Budget situation… how we got here in past couple years, current debate at Capitol, and future impacts for taxpayers, employers and workforce, MN economy and more. Thank you Gavin!

Wrapped up our day with one of our favorite MEPS speakers @leslierosedahl talking about Public Affairs, Media Relations and Advocacy. It’s good for our Fellows to know about this awareness work and grassroots engagement. Networking and being connected to Leslie is a good thing!

Making her inaugural appearance at MEPS today is @shannonkwatson to talk about @majority_middle and the variety of people who gravitate towards their work for different reasons… as well as the state of bipartisanship in the legislature, the problem with omnibus bills, and more!

Our next speaker is @CMZimmerMN talking about Other Ways to Serve: Advocacy and Government Relations. Great for Fellows to learn about different ways to represent clients and issues at the legislature and the important rules to follow in this field to ensure transparency & trust
