What a guest list. What a night. What a different world.
April 2005. NYC’s legendary 21 Club. A dinner I co-hosted with Frank-Jürgen Richter.
Shashi Tharoor, Jagdish Bhagwati, Michael Nobel and many more.
21 years later, what memories!
America’s housing market is splitting in two.
Home values falling year over year:
📉 Austin, TX: −3.2%
📉 Cape Coral, FL: −2.9%
📉 Las Vegas, NV: −2.8%
📉 Denver, CO: −1.9%
📉 Phoenix, AZ: −1.2%
Meanwhile, statewide values keep rising:
📈 New York: +5.6%
📈 Connecticut: +5.0%
📈 New Jersey: +4.0%
Two very different housing markets.

People fear AI too much. Actually, people fear everything too much. Things that have <0.01% chance of killing them. What they should fear the most is aging - it kills 100% of the time. If you accept aging, you should accept AI, robotics and hardcore biotech.

Announcing the Most Ambitious Set of Science Initiatives This Century
whitehouse.gov/fact-sheets/2…
Washington is holding 2015 panels on a 2026 problem.
Look at the dates.
May 2022: Palisades, a working nuclear plant, shuts down. November 2022: ChatGPT arrives. Within two years Amazon contracts up to 1,920 megawatts from Susquehanna through 2042, and Microsoft signs to restart Three Mile Island Unit 1. The seminars on “the electricity bottleneck” came after the offtake was on a balance sheet.
October 2022: the United States cuts China off from advanced GPUs. Nvidia ships the A800, then the H800, around the line. Commerce spends 2023 chasing a product cycle it does not set.
AI policy is now set by whoever owns the capacity. Interconnect queues, transformer lead times, and power contracts are the policy. Much of Washington only narrates it.
Then follow the money. Quincy’s ledger shows foreign governments put more than $110 million into the top fifty think tanks over five years. A lobbyist discloses the client. A fellowship usually does not.
By the time the panel is announced, the power contract is signed and the chip has been redesigned around the rule.
Always ask: did the work come before the contract, or after it?

☣️‼️I’ve now been in contact w/current, highest level mil/intel/diplo/homeland security officials in biological threat arena and report w/authority that USG has all eyes on the plague outbreak in Russia and is not letting up. ☣️
Read BIOLOGICAL WAR: A SCENARIO. All of them have. Get informed. Stay informed.
🚨☣️BREAKING: Plague outbreak expands, Russia BSL-3 lab accident - FIVE hospitals now quarantined🚨☣️
The plague outbreak in Siberia, Russia has expanded w/5 hospitals now under QUARANTINE: Irkutsk Hospitals No. 1, No.3, No.10, Ivano-Matreninskaya Children's Hospital, and an unnamed maternity hospital (Lyudi Baikala news, Moscow Times).
Quarantine is NOT voluntary. Even in the U.S., quarantine is among the most extraordinary measures gov't can impose on American citizens who haven't been convicted, or even accused, of committing a crime. Quarantine means being forcibly confined and medically examined by law. U.S. quarantine can be imposed on anyone infected by a legally quarantinable disease listed below (this can change). One should assume Russia's quarantine protocols are even more severe. As of 2026, under Executive Order 14047, legally quarantinable diseases in the U.S. are:
■ Plague
■ Smallpox
■ Viral hemorrhagic fevers
■ Cholera
■ Diphtheria
■ Yellow fever
■ Infectious tuberculosis
■ Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS)
■ Flu that can cause a pandemic
■ Measles

China is hoping Trump’s Super Intelligence Force stays a committee.
Beijing has one boss. We have four co-chairs and a pledge. That gap is the whole race.
BUILD the power. Publish a gigawatt clock. DENY the weights. No Chinese training through third-country clouds. MEASURE first. A referee who doesn’t hand out the contracts.
Name ONE DIRECTOR in 30 days. Groves built the bomb. A panel didn’t.
Do this and it’s your Apollo.

Only President Trump could convene all the leaders of the top companies developing chips, data centers and frontier models for Super Intelligence. This new Industrial Revolution has already created a million new jobs and is spurring a bigger infrastructure build-out than the railroads, canals and grid combined. I was honored to witness history as the leaders of the frontier lab companies signed the White House Accord on Super Intelligence, accepting responsibility for the safe development of their products and imposing new internal controls and external audits. This is far better than waiting years for some international agreement that would probably never happen. President Trump continues to ensure that U.S. remains the technology leader while putting Americans first.
Labs can wait on a model if they are not sure it is safe. That is just governance.
What they are actually asking for is different. A coordinated slowdown across the U.S. frontier.
China is not joining that. They are running AI Plus through industry, science and the state.

People keep talking about who has the best model.
Wrong race.
If you do not own compute, power, chips, talent, cyber, and distribution, you built a model for someone else to copy. Weights are not uranium. They move.
That is the part a national slowdown does not survive.
forbes.com/sites/markminevic…
I do not want sloppy labs shipping things they cannot defend. If the next model is unsafe, wait.
What I do not want is the United States taking its foot off the stack because a few CEOs had a week of nerves at UNGA.
Slow a release. Do not slow the country.

President Trump is naming an AI Czar.
He’s building an AI Force.
And President Xi is coming to Washington not New York.
Thursday isn’t about principles.
It’s about power.
Tariffs. Rare earths. Permits.
And who gets to plug in the next gigawatt.
An AI Czar who doesn’t control energy, permitting, critical minerals and autonomous agents isn’t a czar.
America owns the frontier.
China owns scale, cost, and much of the mineral stack.
Thursday is where that split gets negotiated behind closed doors, not at a podium.
The scarce asset isn’t the title.
It’s control of the stack.
130 leaders are in New York this week.
None of them own the thing that is already deciding the decade.
Chinese models now carry most of the world’s real token traffic.
China already ships most of the world’s humanoids.
Agents are writing the next version of themselves.
America still owns the frontier.
China owns volume, cost, and speed.
Europe owns the paperwork.
Everyone in the middle is already dead. They just have not been told about the funeral.
The scarce asset is not the model.
It is power, permits and agents that act.
They still fund the demos.
They still underfund the grid, the decision rights and the labor shock when intelligence grows a body.
This is not a software cycle.
Four companies will outspend the U.S. interstate system this year on buildings that think.
The concrete does not wait.
The robots do not wait.
The other side does not wait.
