Disappointed the 1922 committee are waiting until 5 Sept to announce new Conservative leader (aka PM)
That's too late. The catastrophically high Oct price cap announcement a fortnight before will cause panic, DDs will already be rising. It's not enough time for ministers to act!

How about pointing out because of this Government’s insane Brexit ideology & willingness to break international law the UK science community has just lost upwards of £100m in prestigious EU grants

GREAT NEWS
My ongoing campaign to limit the number of people retweeting this image and causing any upset to Boris Johnson has made great progress I am now so confident that nobody will RT it that I am going to tag in @BorisJohnson so he can see how well we're doing.
Thank you.

I remember breaking down to my Ph.D. advisor about how stupid I felt while troubleshooting a problem in my project when she handed me this paper. Years later it is still relevant to young students starting off in Science. It's ok to feel stupid, we all do on a regular basis.

My piece on @sajidjavid’s dishonesty in pretending he opened one of 48 whole “new” hospitals last week. (Actually, it was a cancer unit within Cumberland Infirmary.)

The NHS entered the pandemic 100,000 short of staff.
There was never going to be enough to staff the Nightingale hospitals too.
This is simply another Government failure to add to a very long list.

I spent the Xmas weekend away from my family covering an ICU full of Covid patients. In that time I had to tell families their relative was dying over the phone, try to provide ICU care for patients without COVID and avoid them getting infected too. @toadmeister

I see a Tory MP is shocked to find that there are educational inequalities in the U.K.- but rather than do anything about that (starting from schools upwards) his solution is to remove a scheme that facilitated student exchange with Europe at minimal costs.
