You can call an Australian a Aussie. But you can’t call a Pakistani a…..
It’s funny the way people decide to take offense
Who is she to tell Bob that he's wrong, i was brought up always believing it was short for Pakistani.... people in different areas of England had many different names for things but that doesn't mean any of them are wrong. The left turn many normal words into something offensive. If you've been brought up to believe a word means something, when you use it & somebody believes it means something different that doesnt mean you are wrong. Offense is taken not given

'Your own figures says that will save the average household 40p a week'

😂 Nick Ferrari bursts out laughing as Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds is forced to sell the latest government gimmick live on @LBC
Reynolds looked thoroughly embarrassed as he tried to sell the plan to scrap import tariffs on a list of “everyday essentials”.
When Ferrari asked him which products were included and what the actual savings would be, Reynolds immediately started dampening expectations, sheepishly admitting these were “not huge reductions” before reeling off the list: baked beans, chocolate, gherkins…
That’s as far as he got. Ferrari could not contain himself and burst out laughing. 😭
Nick then pointed out that the Conservatives have called the projected saving of £21 per year “derisory”.
You could see Reynolds was mortified reading it out. Imagine the brief he opened this morning and realised he had to go on air and sell this to the public. 😬
What a farce. Even on the government’s own figures, this works out at roughly 40p a week for the average household. Forty pence a week. You lucky people.
Another pointless gimmick that will have zero material impact on people’s lives.

Life in migrant Britain.
Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to identify after a teenage boy was sexually assaulted at a Birmingham railway station.
British Transport Police said the incident happened at Longbridge railway station at around 8pm on Thursday, October 22. The 17-year-old boy was waiting for a train when he was approached by a man who began talking to him.
Police said that after a short while, the man exposed himself in front of the teenager before sexually assaulting him.

BICESTER CAMP FIGHT
Villagers near the old MoD Bicester site are suing the Home Office. Their best legal hope? Newts, bats and badgers.
Ministers fast-tracked a camp for up to 1,256 men with no local say. When wildlife law is a village's only defence, the system is broken.

🚨 The Department for Transport got its accounts wrong by almost £20 BILLION.
That comes directly from the National Audit Office.
Seriously. Nearly £20bn of errors in the official value of Britain’s roads and railways.
How on earth does a Government department get figures THAT wrong?
And remember this is the SAME department that spent £251m on roads that will NEVER be built.
Meanwhile, this Government keeps telling us there isn’t enough money…
❌ £330bn borrowed since July 2024
❌ £70bn in tax rises announced
❌ Even more tax rises being considered
Perhaps before demanding another penny from taxpayers…
…they should get their own financial house in order.
Our tax money is a joke to these people.

All the civil servants involved in this scandalous situation should be prosecuted and put in prison for life
Replying to @iceberg4w
This country has so many coverups to protect civil servants rather than admit the truth they would rather break every environmental regulation in the land to hide the corruption and the infrastructure issues even hiding highly infectious waste in food warehouses for years

Wow. A 12 year old girl made a pretend cafe with her teddy bears, at her parents home in their barn… and here comes a council official to check there is no real cafe…..
Shame they aren’t such stringent checks on all the barbers and vape shops setting up everywhere
For those of you who thought the visit from a Bedford Borough Council official to investigate our daughter Zoe’s (age 12) pretend teddy bear cafe was too ridiculous to be real, here is the arrival of official. This is totally legit. She really did show up at our property to investigate the illegal teddy bears having their coffee🧸🧸☕️☕️

Tim Martin will be sending this young Duty Manager at Wetherspoons his marching orders tomorrow morning.
Tim is a proud patriot and a supporter of the Royal British Legion.
I hope he has enough money to pay off his student loan.
I bet this lad would be mortified if he knew he was working in Britain's most anti-EU business 🤣
