Couldn’t agreed more. @Luke_W_Pearce been to my previous society @BristolMatch a few times so bumped shoulders. I was messaging friends last night saying he is some referee. I’m in Scotland now & part of SRU DNA is understanding what the game is asking of you - Luke is a master!
And also, shoutout @Luke_W_Pearce
Was bloody excellent tonight, massive reason why that game was so gripping and entertaining.
8 red cards in total. I don’t watch football anymore (it’s just a zoo) but this just doesn’t surprise me. Players charging at the referee. Coaches screaming abuse. The powers that be encourage this by just letting it be baked into the DNA of the sport. No class at all.

If you think these two clean out’s are the same then then you need to come and do a refereeing course then you can comment sensibly
Is this intentionally infringing the laws of the game and a penalty @WorldRugby ?
Watching the @lionsofficial tour to date my feeling is that it’s all flat. Defence is flat. Breakdown work flat. Lions fans in ground no noise and flat. Players all seem flat after the game. Thankfully they won’t be playing SA or NZ id fear a whitewash.

Devastated to learn of Geoff Warren’s passing. First of TMOs; top flight ref;and stalwart of Bristol Refs Society who even up to now gave back to the game he loved, coaching young refs. Big Bris fan. Thoughts with Lyn;Lucy;Dan;Chros. RIP my dear friend . Gonna miss you 💔

Wonderful official who is a brilliant communicator. Certainly someone not to mess with.
Mentioned a lot of people who helped me along the way @Beeaalee @RefereeHalsey @HACKETTREF @deanm1982 @BristolMatch
Thanks guys. Obviously my society get a huge mention for their support. Tony bowers from the ERRA course, Ed Morrison and Swashy early. Then Geoff Warren for being an epic coach and mentor!
Boring morning at work? Why not have a listen to BRRS referee, Shane Mansfield’s awesome interview on the @YESREF podcast instead?
