Sunset the other night, rain in the day but a beautiful end to the day #sunset #whatabeautifulworld #lovemyfarm #isleofman
The ewe lambs being moved to a field…..it is a bit like herding cats! Here they are stopping for a snack in the lane on route #manxloaghtan #rarebreed #farming #wool #naturefriendlyfarming #isleofman
Conservation grazing at its best. Ancient grassland near the top of the farm, managed to encourage birds like curlews. It was high tussocks after the summer, after 3 weeks looks like this. Manx Loaghtans are the best. #manxloaghtan #farmingwithnature #biosphereIOM #isleofman
On the spur of the moment we went to the Isle of Man Farm Shop for lunch, steak bap & a toastie - absolutely delicious. Completely recommend it for a yummy informal lunch & in such a beautiful place #IOMfarmshop #greatfood #beautifulglen #willbereturning #manxproduce #isleofman
Half past midnight last night, it was cloudy and the lights of Peel clearly there - I didn’t expect to see much but the northern lights were reflecting off the clouds. Even though I know how they happen it is still pure magic to me #Northernlights #magic #makesmesmile #isleofman
Today we hosted the FWAG farm visit. A pleasure to show off our Manx Loaghtans, our conservation projects, the farm shop with our wool and charcuterie & a BBQ. Thanks to A&J Butcher’s for the sausages & the cake bakers. Most of all thank you to everyone coming making it a fun day
This one of the slime molds, it’s the first time I’ve seen it in our fields but there is lots of it in several fields. Does anyone know anything about this & is it particularly common this year. Would love to know more #slimemold #fungi #farming #weirdbutfasinating #isleofman
Beautiful morning after the much needed torrential rain yesterday. What a difference a day makes #sunshinemakesyousmile #farming #lovemyfarm #farmingwithnature #isleofman
Magnus on his travels again……he’s in Reggio Emilia in Italy!
He was made by one of our lovely customers who lives in Italy but regularly visits the IOM. She’s an excellent knitter & Magnus was made using our single ply- absolutely stunning

Yest went shopping in Tesco (Peel, IOM), no choice as only other is a small Coop. There was no Manx veg. I went back today to get a paper, & found Manx potatoes & only 2 packs of broccoli. Please would the Government impose a tax on Tesco on imported veg that could be grown here
It’s tiring being a puppy chasing water boatmen in a pond!
6 months old yesterday #sheepdog #puppy #farmlife #isleofman
Fynn on his hunt for water boatmen & pond skaters- they drive him crazy! He’s tried stalking them, barking at them and pouncing on them. Fynn 0, water boatmen 104 #sheepdogs #puppy #ponds #naturefriendlyfarming #isleofman
10pm while outside I heard a rustle….and found this beautiful hedgehog. Stay safe little one. We use no chemicals on the farm so his food source should be safe to eat. #hedgehogs #farmingwithnature #wildlifematters #isleofman
Last night, Rob of MWT took the Manx Bird Group down to our wetlands. It is a pleasure to have a group that really get what we are doing. Thank you to Sheila Norris who took these fantastic photos, a woodpecker, a waxcap & an emerald damselfly #habitatcreation #wetlands #IOM
Last week one of the passengers from the cruise ship Corinthian who visited the farm gave us this tea towel and paper napkins. Their kindness is so touching & has blown us away. Every time we dry up we will think of you. Thank you #Corinthian #kindness #farmvisitors #isleofman
Magnus still on his travels- sitting on Magnus the sculpture. They definitely share a family resemblance!
Anyone else made a Magnus? Please send us a photo

This delightful video was produced by Manx Wildlife when they surveyed the wetlands, it is teaming with insects, birds and plants. The 2 plants highlighted in the video are Golden Dock & Celery Leafed Buttercup, 2 native Manx plants that are becoming rare #farming #biosphereIOM
Today we had visitors from the cruise ship Corinthian to see and learn about our sheep, see their wool and here they are tasting our award winning Manx Loaghtan charcuterie! What a lovely group and pleasure to meet them all #manxloaghtan #wool #charcuterie #farming #isleofman
