Joined April 2011
Took a photo this morning on the lawn of the Municipal Building in my little town of Maplewood, NJ, showing the Ukrainian flag (displayed for the past three years in support). As I left, I passed a woman who told me, “I’m here to take the same picture.” I live in a great town.

Asked about Trump's false claims that schools in multiple states are allowed to send kids for gender surgery without parental consent, the president of the National Association of School Nurses notes schools typically need written parental consent *to give a kid a Tylenol.* cnn.com/2026/10/20/politics/…

Trump's "excuse" is that he doesn't actually shop for gasoline or food, he just repeats the lies that he thinks will work on people. But *nobody* is uninformed about gas and food prices now.
Trump: Already our prices are much lower. Oil is much lower. Or... gasoline is much lower. Anything you wanna call it. Food prices have come way down. 'Groceries,' so to speak.

JD Vance makes a recommendation on who to vote for in the midterms: "Vote for the people who have solutions to lower the cost of gas, don't vote for the people who made the problem to begin with."

JD Vance showing that he's too clueless to be entrusted with any position of responsibility in government, or even the Vice Presidency.
.@VP: "It's laughable to me, the idea that Donald Trump has somehow been enriched by political office. He nearly had his life destroyed by his quest to become President!"

Not only did Abdul El-Sayed condemn the Muslim brotherhood, he eloquently called the questioner out for asking a racist question, and then the questioner was immediately outed as being a literal paid Republican operative. Triple win
This has proven to be quite the misfire for El-Sayed.

El-Sayed has said the opposite— that he is committed to the Constitution. The lies just keep coming.
Abdul El Sayed has said he has an obligation to follow Sharia law. If you don't want America to look like France, you have to vote in this election. We don’t have an “our religion” in the U.S., and if we *did* have one that was whatever Trump thinks “our religion” would be, then God help us.
Trump: Americans are going to stand up and declare that we will preserve our religion.

This is my pinned post here on the Twitter. It was from the day after Trump’s belligerent Oval Office meeting with Zelenskyy. Now that Trump’s even worse, now more than ever …

This could be one explanation for Trump’s hostility towards the Pope.

They lie, all the time, about everything, but your job as a reporter is not to merely repeat the lie, it's to fact check it and inform your readers that it is in fact, a lie. Do better. Do the bare fucking minimum, I swear to God.
From VP pool report (which included a readout of Vance interview with @MarkHalperin): "Vance declined to endorse Netanyahu and replied that he endorses American candidates and is not getting involved in Israeli elections"
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Vance said he endorses American candidates and is not getting involved in Israeli elections, but in April 2026 he spoke at a campaign rally for Viktor Orban in Hungary and urged voters to reelect him. latimes.com/world-nation/s… theguardian.com/world/2026/apr… x.com/christopherhal…

Nobody better tell James Hetfield there’s another rocker giving his political opinion …
Nugent: We could eliminate the Democrat Party. That's the goal. They're not Democrats, they're Communists! I want them out of here!

Ukraine gave up a nuclear arsenal valued at over $1 trillion dollars, including 4,500 nuclear warheads. Guess who asked Ukraine to do this? We did.
Trump: Don't tell me about Ukraine. We've given a lot to Ukraine. They've given us nothing!

Turley is not this stupid. She is making the elementary point a lawyer or law professor should agree with: that criminal conduct should be prosecuted and in significant part as a deterrent. He knows this. Turley's decision to shift his career from publicity whore to professional liar remains sad.

Trump is so desperate to look like the guy who ended the Ukraine war that he'll settle for being the guy who announced the end of the Ukraine war, while the war continued. But the war can only end when Putin leaves Ukraine. Trump doesn't want a ceasefire. He wants a ceasefire-shaped headline.

Ten years ago today. In just the last few days: Trump made a deal for the U.S. to buy Russian diesel, an economic lifeline for Putin; he and Elon Musk blamed each other for an order that slowed down Starlink satellite connectivity over Ukraine, hampering the country's defenses during a devastating Russian attack; and Trump waived sanctions on Russia that Congress, led by his late friend Lindsey Graham, had pushed for. Now, Putin has proposed a summit with Trump and Xi to decide Ukraine’s fate for them, bulldoze a century of international cooperation, and frame Russia as an equal to the U.S. and China. We’ll see if Putin’s puppet continues to dance on his strings.

Totally shocked to find Trump is the amoral obedient puppet of an evil dictator; 10 years after we already found that out.
Beyond irresponsible. What part of enforcing a law passed 86-11 by the Senate does the President and his advisors not understand? It’s unconscionable that this administration is capitulating to a Russian dictator who illegally invaded Ukraine and butchers innocent civilians every single day. If the President wants to actually bring down energy prices, he can do it by solving the Iran problem, not by doing a solid for Vladimir Putin. apnews.com/article/russia-sa…
