Thousands have turned up at Mbale Cricket Grounds today for the endorsement of the Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s 2031 presidential bid and the Mbale City Baraza.
The event, hosted by Counsel Paul Mugoya Wanyoto, has attracted senior PLU leaders, including General Secretary Fadil Twalla and Deputy Director for Mobilisation Henry Basaliza Mutegeki. Other attendees include State Minister for Public Service Lydia Wanyoto and PLU Coordinator for Greater Mukono Jimmy Lwanga.

David Kabanda, Executive Secretary of the PLU Chairman’s Office, has outlined their four core principles, namely upholding the mission and plans of President Yoweri Museveni, modernisation of agriculture, industrialisation to create jobs, and further strengthening the UPDF.
He also rallied the people of Kayunga to support the Chief of Defence Forces and PLU chairman Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s fight against corruption.
Kabanda, who is also the Kasambya County Member of Parliament, was speaking at Kitwe Playground, Bbaale County, during the launch of collection of endorsement signatures for Gen Kainerugaba’s 2031 presidential bid.
State Minister for Finance and Planning Amos Lugolobi, PLU Director of Mobilisation Micheal Mawanda, and Judith Mukidi, the PLU women’s representative for Tooro, were among the PLU leaders who attended the event.

Today, our National Vice Chairman, Mr. Michael Nuwagira Toyota @chairtoyota, represented our Chairman, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba (CDF), and the entire Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) Secretariat as Chief Guest at the thanksgiving ceremony of Hon. Harriet Ntabazi, State Minister for Lands, in Bundibugyo District.
The event was also attended by Hon. Henry Basaliza, Deputy Director of Mobilisation; Mr. Shadrack Nzeire, Ankole Regional Coordinator; and Hon. @KabbyangaB, Rwenzori Regional Coordinator, alongside other PLU leaders.
During the ceremony, the team participated in the launch of the endorsement drive for our Generational Leader, Gen @mkainerugaba, reaffirming the PLU’s continued engagement with communities across the country.
